This was our first meal on our recent trip to Luxor and although the place doesn't look the best the food and service were good. The view from our window seat was magnificent with views of Luxor Temple during the sunset and then lit up with the green lights. The place was quiet and the young lad served us quickly... More

This is still one of my favourite East Bank places for a beer and a bite to eat. Fantastic pasta and local fare for a fantastic price. One of the cheapest places on the East Bank for a nice cold Stella with a wonderful elevated view of the temple. Last visit I ordered and ate during one of the many... More

Ali Baba's is on the first floor of a building that looks out on to Luxor Temple. This is a great spot for sunset beer, looking out over the floodlit temple, and people watching.

Very cheap with a birds' eye view of Luxor Temple, Stella at LE10 and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed (much like everywhere in Luxor) and the staff helpful... although they do get distracted if the football is on their small portable tv. A great little restaurant, behind Luxor Temple, upstairs next to Hamees restaurant.

Two menus - Egyptian and International. Prices OK - the potions of kebab (chicken) a bit small but very well and freshly cooked, hence the delay - so get a starter! French rather than traditional flat bread. Best value is Falafel or omelette. Great to hang out with friends, smoke and share a beer or even a bottle of wine... More

I thought this place would be better considering it was recommended to me. I noticed a number of westerners that live in Luxor visit. My wife and I found the food OK but could be better value and cleaner. The service was slow on our visit.

This bar/cafe has amazing views of luxor temple but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The plus points are obviously the view and the cheapest beer we had in Luxor.Do visit to have a beer and watch the hustle and bustle of the city at night but avoid eating here.

We ate here in December 2012, the vegetarian platter was great value and mostly very tasty! Staff was friendly, and the restaurant has a great view of Luxor Temple. Good value for money!

I like this place one of the best in Luxor in this category. The food is very simple, the same as most Egyptian places serve, but it tastes good, every time. Prices are more than reasonable, I always order falafels, some soup, kofta, rice and vegetable tagen and stuffed wine leaves which are fabulous. Cold Stella beer is only 8... More
