The restaurant is well located, before the Sheraton hotel. I went for Egyptian food some Kebab with rice and vegetables. It is licensed so I was able to drink some red wine with it. I liked the food, the atmosphere and the bill... very good value for money!

nice clean restaurant with friendly welcoming staff. we had a very nice meal, most of our group enjoyed the fish platter and 3 of us had the Jem's chicken which is like a 'PARMO'. Price's were fair.we did return 2 times. Would recommend you pay a visit.

We went to Jem's in early August 2011 and were devasted to find it closed for the 1st three nights of our holiday. Luckily, on the off chance, we went for a walk on the 4th night and were thrilled to find it open. The food can be Egyptian or European, it is entirely up to you. We went for... More

During our visit to Luxir last December we discovered this restaurnt while having dinner at Maxim Rest. just on the side of the road. We wnet there the second day. We were directed by a friendly guy to sit on a window table just what we would have liked. The menu has many international dishes to choose. We have ordered... More

During my visit to Luxor and after a long tour in the city, I suggested to have a rest and eat at Jems restaurant, I noticed it from the window of another restaurant. The choice was not right . From outside, the restaurant seems very poor, but when you enter it, it looks not bad. To me the food is... More

Easy to find and close to the Pyramisa and Gaddis Hotels. Entrance up stairs. Recommend you have a selection of starters (foul, baba ganoush, hoummus etc). Grilled seafood is really excellent and fresh. Friendly staff and they serve beer. The decor's a bit neon-lit café-style but that's the only negative. This place is great as it's in an area poorly... We went to Gem's as it looked nice from the street. We went into the restaurant and were met by the waiter as we entered. An older tubby man with a mustache. He showed us to a seat by the window which was fine. The decor was nice but looked a little unfinished. The restaurant has a few different places... More

This is worth a visit if not for the food then for the flamboyant decor of the wall murals. The representation of Abu Simbal is something to behold, owing more to the child-like innocence of it's painting than to any artistic talent. We had the non-veg meza which was very pleasant although a little bland. The staff were friendly and... More
