A very simple restaurant, take-out in front and tables in back. Nothing fancy (plastic cups and plastic cutlery.) But the food is delicious and we were made to feel welcome. The menu has a long list of dishes which were hard to comprehend, but we...looked around to see what others were eating and pointed to what looked good. And it was. Very reasonably priced. You just don't know how good this Yemeni food is until you try it. Some will tell you that the Yemeni Restaurant on Iran Street is better but they're wrong. I lived off of El Zeiny's food for two years when I was a graduate...student in Cairo. I recommend the Dry White Beans (فاصولية ناشفة), the straight up "Beans" (فول), the Fahsa (فحسة), and the Ma3soub (معصوب) for dessert. Of course, get some of the freshly baked bread ("single" or "double") to scoop up all of the aforementioned dishes. Enjoy!More

OMG!!! Our friends invited us to this restaurant and it was amazing!!! Don't expect the nicest, atmosphere. But it's owned by real Yemeni people and the food is out of this world. Our friend ordered for us various dishes that all came in these hot...stone clay pots. I believe he called them "Akda". We had chicken, liver, beans, curry, grilled fish, cheese/salsa, and it comes with huge flat bread that you tear and use to dip in all the dishes. The taste of every dish was spectacular!!! And the pricing is very reasonable; quite cheap, I would say. We are definitely coming back here for more!!!More
