This is my favorite restaurant in Cairo. However, the address lised in Trip Advisor is WRONG. It should be Road 151 Building 9. I have been visiting this restaurant for almost 20 years. The place has been completely remodeled and is modern and crisp. I had the red curry duck and it was delicious. I also had the spicy Thai... More

I went there last night for the first time since the remodeling. We were told it had been reopened a week. This is their first remodel in 25 years and they did a great job! The menu is new but the old items are still there. So glad to continue to enjoy my favorites. Last night there were 8 Thai... More

After more than 20 years the famous BUA KHAO changed the restaurant interior totally! It is now an art-decorated one-room with more seats, nice colors and still.... The same perfect Thai kitchen! Even a long way from Zamalek or elsewhere will not be done in vain!!! A great place; for evenings better to reserve a table. At lunchtime you might... More

One of my typical go to places for thai food for years, though havent been for a while. Was there on a Friday with a party of 10. Ordered almost all the appetizers and several curries and a couple of phad thai. The curries and soups are still taste the same, simple and authentic and tasty. Appetizers were not very... More

We tried their vegetarian dishes and it was just superb. You can bring your booze with you. The only problem is the location - a bit hard to find.

I could go there every week. It is really the best Thai food you can eat in Cairo. Maybe the restaurant could be renewed a bit and the toilet is a bit small, but that does not make a difference. They have excellent curries, pad thai, thai soups and in mango season, sticky rice with mango.

We ate like kings. Loved all the food. Though pineapple shrimp was a bit sweeter than what I would usually like. Highly recommended if you like Thai like me --- place needs to be renewed ----- atmosphere is rather oldish and not related to the quality of the food

I lived in Thailand for 4 years and I love Thai food. The Bua Khao's owner, Khun Toy, has been living in Cairo for the past 20 years. She created this restaurant and many followed all around Egypt. The chefs are all Thai and she imports most of her ingredients from Thailand. She is usually around at the restaurant and... More
