Please try the pajeon! I don't exactly remember if there were other kinds, but we tried the one with shrimps and it was quite tasty. We expected to be amazed by the samgyetang, but the pajeon (15000 krw) and kimchi (free) stole the show the second they touched our tongues. Prices may be higher than usual, but as this was... More

Must have the rotisserie chicken, if you're hungry, better have one for each person. The samgyetang I don't really like though, the ginseng flavor can be overwhelming. However, the service was great, and the place looks and feel very traditional. Overall the experience is worth the trip.

We reached there around 2pm and there was no queue! Hurray! We were shown to our seats pretty fast. Good thing that they served rotisserie chicken as one of our boys did not like ginseng chicken. Another one didn't like too but after he tried, he loved it. We literally emptied the pots! Ginseng wine was good too, regret not... More

The samgyetang is very delicious and pajeon (Korean-style pancake) is very tasteful. Though i noticed that the chicken is just small size, but the filling made me so full.

FINALLY after one week of Korea and the spicy food which I couldnt eat we've got to this restaurant. The most famous dish here: whole chickens in a soup, on different colors! We've got a classic one. It was delicious and filled with rice, a date and ginseng. YUMMI! If you dont reserve you might stand in line for hours.... More

samgyetang is actually ginseng chicken soup - a very renowned dish in korea. The one in Tosokchon is almost too good to be true. soup was really nice the chicken was really tender and flavourful - it warms your stomach so its almost a must eat in the freezing winter. pieces of advice: be there before 11 to avoid long... The ginseng soup was delicious, and service was quick(: We went around 3pm, and managed to get a table (I think we were lucky - all the other tables were filled!) My only gripe was that the chicken they served had more fat than meat? This is not something I expect from a store so well known. We tried samgyetang... More

When you visit Seoul at any time you must try Samgyentang. It is Chicken Ginseng Soup and only in this place in Seoul you can find the best Samgyentang. The service is excellent and very nice. There is complementary rice wine and set of kimchi. I would highly recommend to visit that place when you have a chance.

We ordered the cheapest samgyetang at Korean won 16,000 and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Spent 15 minutes queuing as it is a famous place for tourists. Do try the pancake as we loved it. Free flow of Kim chi n carrots too. An easy 5 minutes walk from gyeongbukgung.

Managed to get a table without much queue because we went quite early. Advice to go early. The chicken was tender and the soup was great especially taking it in the cold weather. Ginseng wine added to the soup was worth trying.

Thank Alvin C
