Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a great place to chill and hang out, nice views to take photos either. My favourite food is Biryani. Also have fair price and delicious food. Can easily find out and access location.

Nice restaurant a little hard to find as the sign is small and you need to go up some grungy looking stairs to enter the restaurant - however once inside it is a delightful atmosphere. The food was both Burmese and western and all weel...priced and very tasty. Drinks were cheap and we all knocked back a few icy cold Myanmar beers which was great.More

The sea bass curry is world class. Funky venue upstairs that’s a little hard to find and looks like a den of thieves but worth it. Great service. But the curry OMG!

great service & awesome food but the most important thing is the location and the design of the place. The most stylish restaurant we've visited in Yangoon.

I had delicious Burmese food here and was very impressed. As others have noted, the general area and entrance are not attractive, but once you enter the restaurant, it's a different story. I would highly recommend eating at Burma Bistro when you are in Yangon....I certainly plan on coming here when I visit Myanmar again.More

The space is very nice and the food and drinks are fine. I've visited several times and tried to use it as a place to work. There is a very large number of staff, often more than customers, and they tend to talk, horse around,...and shout. The music is often too loud, which is fine for short visits.More

At first sight, not engaging at all from the street. A dark entry, some stairs to climb but at the end.. a nice, well decorated restaurant, modern and trendy. The menu is good and the meals are great ! Tasty, flavorful and served very quickly....A great address we really recommend !More

This first floor eatery offers excellent food with friendly and attentive service. There is also a good cocktail program going here. The decor is a bit colonial kitsch, but it is not overdone and pleasant enough. Be sure to savor the experience of walking up...the nondescript staircase to find this lovely place.More

A traditional Burmese restaurant on the first floor of a old dilapidated building, which at a first glance gives you mixed feelings going into the restaurant. But once you enter the restaurant the atmospheric is completely different. We were five of us and decided to...order the following dishes. A whole Spicy Seabass Potato Cutlet with special sauce. Duwa Delicious Aubergine Stew Village Style Braised Beef Cilantro and Lime Rice Bean Rice Butter Rice Karen Pork Salad Thingyan Fever For desert we had Clay pot Yoghurt And some excellent Merlot Red wine. The food was really tasty and well prepared and presented. Highly recommend for a authentic Burmese meal. Definitely worthwhile a visit. Thanks and warm regards Randolph Perera Zurich Switzerland Visited the restaurant on the 20.01.2020More

I have eaten here twice and enjoyed the food, service and surroundings on both occasions. The restaurant is well-advertised from the busy street and there is an atmospheric climb to the first floor which is rewarded by the spacious and elegant decor of the main,...high-ceiling room in this colonial building and a nice welcome from staff. There is a good selection of local dishes, including a fine tea leaf salad (my favourite Burmese food). Unlike some other restaurants they will make the food genuinely spicy if you request it. Good beers too. Strongly recommended.More

The entrance is not auspicious, but do not be put off. Climb the rather decreed looking staircase from street level and find the restaurant on the first floor. We chose to sit outside, which is outside of the air conditioning, but gives a great view...into the life going on in teh street below. Service was excellent and food very good. Chicken curry was very tasty and chicken satay had a very good sauce. We will certainly be coming back later in our visit.More

Delicate place with nice atmosphere and good food! Bar and live music somedays at the second floor. An anonymous entrance, you find dark stairs to 2.floor and a surprise is waiting for you.

Had a great dinner at this atmospheric new restaurant - our waiter was really helpful with our choices and our food was absolutely delicious - the tea leaf salad was our first in Myanmar and had really gorgeous flavours. The fritters were a very generous...portion but so crisp and tasty, then we had prawns in a delicious sauce and chicken skewers with tomato rice in half a piece of bamboo - such wonderful rich flavours, beautifully tender. Our whole evening was delicious food with great, friendly & efficient service. Would go back in a flash!More

Looks like nothing from the road, but go up to the 1st floor, and you find a gem. We shared a Kin Poung Vegetable fritter starter, then had aubergine curry and a fish curry. Finished off with a flambé banana and pancake dessert. Everything was...really tasty. The staff were very friendly, and the service quick and efficient. Definitely recommend this restaurant!More
