Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We headed to Indian hut after reading a handful of reviews online. As they'd said, it didn't look like much but don't judge a book by its cover. On arrival we were greeted by attentive and helpful staff despite limited english, which is understandable given...this is more of a locals place. The menu was big and interesting and in the end we went for a few dishes to share. A mutton masala, chicken tandoori, chickpea and paneer dish, plain rotti and a Matti paratha. Despite the mutton masala being a little bit tough, which I think is common with mutton meat, everything was delicious. The flavours were brilliant and everything had the right level of spice. The next day we were out early for a cycling trip and still felt fuelled from our dinner!More

On a quick break with my aged father in Yangon and just needed somewhere close to the hotel. We both enjoy a curry so thought we'd give India Hut a whirl. What a gem of a place. Clean, staff polite, food took about 15 -...20 mins to come but that is always reassuring from a food freshness point of view. I had the Mutton Special and it was loaded with a lot of succulent lamb pieces. Dad's Chicken Rogan Josh (yes weird I know) was tasty as well. Two mains, two rices, a naan and two large 600ml bottles of beer all for USD 20.00. Real bargain. Well recommended!!!More

Humble, clean mini-restaurant with authentic Indian cuisine. Delicious paneer tikka masala and naan which was accepted with joy even by my Wife’s sick stomach :) nice staff! On the other hand, prices are quite high comparing to other Yangon restaurant. Service charge and government tax...will be added to your bill. One rice, plain naan, paneer Tikka masala, Myanmar beer (large) and a bottle of water + service and tax - approx. 14k Kyats Anyways - recommended!More

I’ve ate here twice while in Yangon. Each time was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly upon me entering and were not hesitant to take my food order or any other request. The restaurant has English menus and the staff spoke decent English as...well. Price of food was cheap for how much I got. Both meals were delicious. The restaurant, plates and utensils appeared clean. I would recommend this place.More

Fairly decent North Indian curry house downtown. A nice change from the more fast food (although all you can ear) thali style ones. The butter chicken wasn't very good if I remember, but the saag paneer is. Excellent chapati's!

From the outside this restaurant looks a bit rough, don't let this put you off. I visited with work colleagues and the food was excellent. Very tasty, decent portions and not greasy at all. We arrived fairly late, for Yangon, but the staff couldn't have...been more helpful or welcoming. This is definitely a little gem, well worth a visit. I cant understand the recent negative review though I notice the writer cant decide if they visited in February or May, bit suspicious. If you are in Yangon, find this place, you wont be sorry.More

Going by the looks outside, and the better than basic internal furniture, do not under estimate this place, the food is top class. They cannot afford to lose this chef. As a team visiting Yangon, we have been twice (already) and both times the food;...starters and mains has been excellent. The Jaipuri, butter chicken and all the curries are so tasty and varied. As someone from Glasgow who knows a thing about curries, you should visit here, no aires or graces but cracking food at excellent prices. As we stood outside the 2nd time, waiting to goin, two Aussies recommended us to go in - you will not be disappointed with the food, the service or ultimately the price, trust me pay it a visit !More
