Yangon is an up and coming city but with poor supply chains and inexperienced industry workers it can be hard to run a top-quality restaurant. But the Swiss couple who opened this restaurant ten years ago after 20 years of restaurant work in Switzerland have done just that. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and the experience I had at this place was right up there with the best at a cost considerably less.
First the setting for the restaurant guarantees a charming, scenic restaurant experience. The building opens to a small lagoon and the owners remodeled the building and developed the landscaping to create a wonderful dining area to suit their restaurant needs. Secondly, the food was exquisite. Our family of 5 chose one of the prix fixed 5 course menus for about 65 US dollars. In addition to the courses we received several starter dishes as well as several dessert dishes at the end. In all we spent 2.5 hours dining and enjoyed all of it. The presentation and food taste were outstanding and the kitchen staff of 12 that we counted, appear to make everything by hand. Last, the staff was delightful and attentive and we enjoyed chatting with the owner when she came by.
I am not sure what more one could want from a find dining experience and to top it all off, this is Yangon not New York or Paris so you get a very low price for the experience yet an experience on par with the best in the world.
If you are planning on going do consider whether you wish to eat indoors or out and if you are eating out, which table you would like as there are some special dinning areas. Given the weather in Yangon, the heat or humidity or mosquitoes (while not a problem for us), could be a problem for you and hinder your dining experience.

Great get together and a lunch to match it from seeds restaurant.
Set menu choice of 2/3 course for a price of 19/25
The food was delicious and the team are very attentive and welcoming could not ask for a better afternoon lunch.
With a view of the lake and beautiful garden be prepared to stay longer than expected ☺️

This delightful restaurant provides Michelin star standard food in a beautiful setting with all the usual micheliin style fripperies. There are tasting menu options but we prefer to eat a la carte. With this we were indulged with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, amuse bouche and a pre-dessert even though we didn't order dessert. A really top class super dinner. Just great. A very fair price for what we got. It would cost double this in London. Loved it.

What an absolute delight! A real gem that we happened to stumble across. This is a beautiful restaurant set by a lake in Yangon. The decor is light and contemporary. The food!!! Wow! This is Michelin quality food, it was absolutely divine! And not very pricey at all compared to equivalent restaurants in London. Service was superb, professional and attentive. We came here for lunch just before heading back to the airport. I don’t normally take photos of my food but had to make an exception here. The chef is top notch and the Swiss lady at front of house (apologies but I’ve forgotten her name) was very attentive asking how we were and if everything was ok. If we come back to Myanmar, and I certainly hope we do, we are definitely coming here again. Loved it!

Located on the north side of Inya lake in Yangon, with a quiet and beautiful garden leading to the lake, Seeds is a gem we were glad to find!
The tasting menu was amazing, a mix of western and Burmese cuisine, and the wine menu is extensive. You can see chef Felix cooking with his team in the open kitchen, it's a show in itself while you savour your dishes. His wife Lucia is very professional, and talks to every table to make sure everything is going well for everyone.
Overall, an excellent experience, and we'll definitely be back when we're in Yangon.

Extraordinary. An elite standard by which you judge rest of the restaurants. Staff are always ready to help, extreme cleanliness, posh atmosphere and delicious food with perfect delivery. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course. I had seabass with prawns and they gave me a cream which I couldn't recall the name but I certainly did enjoy it. Was all followed by some chocolate and wine for dessert. All the cuisines were refreshing. They offer various types of drinks but they have one of the best wines in the city. The drinks are pricey but worth trying. Thanks to Kaung Htut Naing, Felix, Lucia and rest of the members for making our night wonderful.

The service is up to another level. The waiters care about us really much and I can see their passion about the job and passion about caring for others. It was our first date and I was really nervous of not going well but Ko Nay and his team were really helpful and friendly, making sure everything went smooth. We were very full and he was kind enough to offer fresh tea to lighten our appetite. We are very thankful for the care we were given. Thank you SEEDS for such amazing experience.

This was our second visit and I have to admit that we were amazed how they use different elements to create a single dish. I'm not a big fan of ravioli but I will recommend their crab ravioli. I loved it. And how can I forget to say that service is outstanding .
My son is like let's go back again and sure we will be going back soon.

My wife and I enjoyed our fabulous Boxing Day lunch in Seeds restaurant. We had the Christmas special lunch menu which was delicious. The staff were very attentive and even guided us to tour around their restaurant. We had tried many restaurants this time but with its delicious food, excellent service and great view, it was the best one we had in our trip. Highly recommended.

We celebrated my family members birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was serene and lovely. The waiters were accommodating and so thoughtful, which made the meal all the more enjoyable. We had the business lunch three course meal and it was delicious. The dessert is divine, please give it a try. Would highly recommend!

Had our 6th Anniversary and the menu was superb.
Set menu was worth more than the price, while containing too much of varieties especially the deserts.
Thanks Ei Kyaw and Ko Kyaw for the great service . It was exceptional.

Food taste is of “par excellence” and even the way they present the food is amazing. I love their pastries and sometimes I am already full even before the main course is served.
Great customer service from Nay Oo Chi, their Asst. Service Manager, and also from Mon, their head for Services. Really happy with their attentiveness to us during our visit to the point that they gave us a tour of their entire facility, including their kitchen. Our Pastor was celebrating his birthday and they gave him a freshly baked birthday cake and the waiters also greeted him with a group song number that was super cheerful. Really happy with their service.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Yangon and we’ll definitely come back here.

The staff is all very warm and welcoming and the service is consistent throughout. Mr.Kyaw was the server for our table tonight and he was very attentive, always checking in for refills making sure we never had to ask for anything. He gave a great explanation of the menu and gave great recommendations. The food is definitely worth the price, not to mention the free welcoming plate full of a variety of quiches and the endless bread that was served fresh every time. My favourite was definitely the truffle bread, the slight saltiness paired really well with the truffle butter. I feel a lot of fine dining experiences are a bit too over the top and you can’t really enjoy yourself and indulge in the meals and atmosphere. But SEEDS made sure you felt right at home. The lighting, the mood, the food, the service, everything was just perfect.

I really love the decor of seeds and also Service.
Franky serves us and he never failed to bored us.
He explained the dishes details and he cared the customers who love the dishes or not.

Staffs were very caring and helpful. Ko Chan Myae did a really great job picking out wine to pair with the dishes we chose. Ko Kyaw and Ko Nay always made sure that we are comfortable at all time. Highlight was when the staff all came together to sing us a song to celebrate our anniversary. It definitely was a memorable anniversary for us.
