Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a really nice and cozy place with good WiFi and Air-conditioning. But the most important thing is the food, which is delicious.I got two different types of salads (the best sellers ones) and they were very fresh with good size portions. Tea leave salad is my favourite. My husband got one of their curries and he asked them to make it vegan and they did not have any problem with it and he really like it:) Prices are very reasonable considering we are in Yangon city center All in all a great place!:)

Really love this place. It's authentic and the price is really fair. The noodle soups are around 2000 MMK, and will fill you up just fine. The staff are very attentive and the restaurant is cozy with nice decorations. Highly recommended!

Cozy restaurant with traditional Shan food. The menu highlighted several dishes as “Best seller” or “Chef’s recommendation” which helped with the decision process before ordering. The sticky rice with sesame is a sweet delight. Also reusable chopsticks are a plus. For future improvements the restaurant could use paper straws for the drinks as a sustainable alternative to plastic straws.

Food was good and staff responsive. We traveled through Shan province and the food there was a bit different, well it is the biggest state, thus it may vary greatly. However, the most important point I want to make is about portions. Here they are designed for small kids. Even though the prices does not bite, you will need to order multiple dishes to fill your belly in the end making you pay more for same amount of food somewhere else. Will not come back here again and I am making this review just to get the 10 percent discount not to feel so bad about the amount of money we left for the amount of food we got.

Horrible staff and food Shouldn’t open at 8 am daily when you’re not ready with ur food and staff. Warm tofu was horrible, forgot the coffee and another dish ordered. Our orders took too long to even think abt reordering. To top it off, the staff assigned was horrible with bad attitude, smiling throughout the complaint made. Bad experience overall, would not recommend. Go eat across the street better food and faster service, don’t waste ur time here.

My wife and I stopped by to get a late lunch. We got wood ear salad, special tea leaf, fried tofu, shan noodles, and damson juice. Of note was the special tea-leaf salad which even my wife liked (didnt care for the other tea leaf salads weve had in Myanmar thus far), and the fried tofu (also really special and a must try), both were excellent.

Food is incredible, we arrived new to the city and without any understanding of the national food let alone regional, but the staff were very helpful in helping us choose. We ordered 4 dishes and 2 freshly made juices, all exceptional and brilliant flavours. Will be returning for sure

The staff does not speak English and does not try to make himself understood. We stayed in the place because we had already ordered the beverage. They came manyyyyy ... times for the order, probably because also they had not what they say on the menu “Mango is not the season” they say There are mangoes on all the baskets in the streets and we ate many in other places At the end of the day, the people are very rude Horrible for us, and not a recommended place

My boyfriend and I visited Shan Kitchen on our first night in Myanmar and were not disappointed. The service was super fast, the staff very attentive and the food was delicious. Plus, it was great prices! Around 2500 for a main that would easily fill you up. They also serve beer and soft drinks although it is not on the menu. Highly recommend the fried dumplings and Chinese fried rice. Everything we had was delicious, would return!

We have some good food in Shan in an incredible price. If I compare, I would pay double price in Thailand. We had the whole sea bass fish, papaya salad, deep fried dumpling and fried rice with 2 drinks each. I was so surprised on what I paid and quality of food that we had. They are doing very good on cooking and customer service. Keep It up!

Lime juice, tea leaf salad and noodle soup with tofu were really tasty. Portions looked great too. Vegetarian options are clearly marked. Place is clean, also prices are fair and friendly service. I could easily go again!

We ordered tofu soup and shan noodles soup that were uneatable, chicken wings were some other part of the chicken but still good. Avocado salad good, fried tofu salad too dry and oily. We also ordered tea but it never came. If you want to eat tasty shan noodle soup it is better to go to Wei Wei's place

Came back to this restaurant because of its delicious foods, nice staffs, and fair price. This time we ordered SK special tea leaf salad (again - the best), dumpling soup, clay pot noodles, fried chicken balls, and sour pork. Will definitely return to this restaurant whenever I visit Yangon.

Easy option for tourists because there’s wifi, local food and english. Asian tourists will know the food is dumbed down for Western tastebuds - 999 noodles were way better. The food is not terrible but there was a hair in my tea leaf salad. The only reason why there are so many reviews is because they offer a discount if you review them (disclaimer: this review was written after we left Yangon).
