I absolutely love the food here! I think it's the best restaurant on the island. The quality and consistency of the meals was top notch. Nice variety and range of options, though I found my few favourites and enjoyed them over and over. Nice imagination...and execution of the meals compared to other places on the island. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant to everyone! 5 out of 5!More

If you or anyone in your party has special dietary needs, you should not risk dining at the Paradise Cove Restaurant. The owner explained very carefully that the staff are not able to think of food in terms of individual ingredients. I was up half...the night with abdominal pain after eating dinner here, but I shudder to think what would happen to someone who went into anaphylaxis after accidentally being fed something they specifically said they could not eat. Hospital access would not be easy from this site, and this is mentioned in the binder that was available in our lodging. We booked a five-day stay here over Christmas after exchanging multiple emails with the owners to check that they could accommodate our diet. My husband and I both eat vegan due to different health issues. The resort website states, “As our kitchen only cooks on request, we can easily adjust to special diet requirements (such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or lactose free).” We were shocked to see that the only menu items that fit this description are: soup; vegetables with rice; vegetables with pasta. (Maybe??) The owner came over to greet us and assure us that the staff knew we were vegan. We checked with our server when we made our selections. Then, just as we were finishing our meal, she came over and said, “I see you are already making accommodations” and told me there was egg in my noodles. She went on to give a little speech about how often people come in saying they have a food restriction, but then order something “that is the opposite” and how could the restaurant tell what they wanted? This is exactly backwards. It’s the job of the server to say “that dish has X ingredient,” and then suggest a modification or an alternate dish. This is well understood in most of the world, where it’s considered a serious liability because food allergies can be fatal. It should be assumed that if someone orders something with an ingredient they said they don’t eat, it is because they don’t realize what is in the dish. I don’t blame the staff - they are lovely - but rather the owner, who seemed to think my predicament was funny. The simple fix for this issue is to mark the menu with symbols for what is nut-free, vegan or vegetarian, gluten-free, etc, as it states on the resort website. Then the staff don’t have to memorize anything or risk making a dangerous mistake. This could even be done with an ink pen. Another step would be to develop a proper plant-based menu with at least three options for each meal. We were expecting to eat all our meals at the resort, but wound up having tinned beans for our Christmas dinner, and we felt scammed by the vast difference between what was claimed and the reality. We simply would not have booked the trip if we had accurate information. But we are lucky because we don’t have to carry an EpiPen, and our experience could have been much worse.More

We are continually impressed with the restaurant at Paradise Cove. The staff are always welcoming and professional. The Santo beef is a favourite as is the seafood. We loved the nicoise. Even the spaghetti bolognese was particularly tasty. The open air dining was lovely with...great views, plenty of shade and a gentle breeze. A hidden gem just outside Port Vila, but well worth the trip.More

We stayed at the Paradise Cove resort for 14 days in August 2023. We opted for the continental breakfast of a pastry (usually a croissant), selection of fresh fruit, baguette, fruit juice, coffee and a bowl of cereal which was more than enough to start...the day. The dinner menu offered a range of entrees, so-called light meals, mains, deserts, and a selection of French, Australian and New Zealand wines, beer and cocktails. I say “so-called” light meals as the servings were quite substantial, and, on occasion, we were unable to get through it all. Staying for 14 days, we were able to go through the complete menu of entrees, light meals, mains and desserts and found nothing which was not to our satisfaction. All meals were based upon fresh local produce and were well presented. We didn’t attempt to drink our way through the wine list but what we did have was very good and my wife assures me that the cocktails were also good. The restaurant was demolished by tropical cyclones Kevin and Judy which struck in March 2023 so, as a temporary measure, Marc and Constance erected a series of sails which were very pleasant to dine under when the weather was clement but, unfortunately not completely waterproof which resulted in us having to dine in our villa when the rain became too heavy. The staff were excellent, always pleasant and smiling and gave us an explanation of the origin of the vegetable bounia which apparently is a local ni-Vanuatu dish. Constance was an excellent hostess The ambience was very pleasant with a view across the water to the other side of the bay and some excellent sunsets.More

We enjoyed 6 nights at the Paradise Cove Resort and had all except 2 of our meals at the outdoors, undercover sails Nakamal overlooking the water. The complementary continental breakfast with fresh fruits, croissants and baguettes (sourced each morning by Marc) and Tanna coffee was...a great way to start the day. Lunch for us was baguettes or the Melanesian salad. And dinner each night was a difficult choice - we enjoyed 3 different fish dishes, calamari, chicken and veg coconut curries, and fillet Mignon with nicely cooked vegetables or salad from a good range of dishes together with a small range of entrees. The desserts looked delicious but on the rare occasions we had dessert, could not go past the coconut icecream. The cocktails were popular, and the wines, a small selection but carefully curated French, Australian and New Zealand. And of course local beer. The ni-Van staff were delightful, happy, efficient and after our very first order remembered exactly how we liked our espressos!More

We stayed at the resort and had gone into town several times to different highly rated restaurants but nothing compared to the food and service we had at the Paradise Cove restaurant. A romantic location with delicious, organic meals and heavenly cocktails. A little secret is that there are tables set up on the sand too, so if you want to soak up the reef and watch the sun set head down the stairs near the bar....My children loved sitting up the top and playing chess. They also loved the filet mignon, garlic squid and fresh salads. I can not rate highly enough the friendly service, first class meals and divine location. This is Vanuatu dining at its best.More
