This place can be found at the Paseo Carmelitas shopping centre. This place has really good fusion style cuisine and a great selection of wines to choose from. Good atmosphere with modern furniture and a hip vibe.

Hi, searching for a nice restaurant, I looked on "trip adviser" and identified El Dorado as an excellent place to try... and, I can now confirm its excellent rating; being for the service, the food quality or the atmosphere.

Very difficult to find, I resorted to google map to instruct the taxi where to take us. The restaurant is set in a beautiful verandahed house with garden. We opted to dine on the verandah. An excellent creative fusion menu allowed us to escape the all-pervasive beef dishes of South America. Some limits to the menu due to the lack... More

If you go to Asunción, this place is a must. I travel a lot and get tired of eating in restaurants, but in my week in Asunción, I went three times to El Dorado. The food is great, anything from starters to salads, pasta and meat, fish, poultry, desserts, and of course, the -square- pizzas. I happened to be there... More

The decor was lacking and seeing the cooks through a window wearing nasty T-shirts just killed the mood. The eggplant appetizer was fairly tasty but the entree was just fair. No plans to return.

Excellent restaurant in a converted villa in the San Blas/Villa Morra residential area of Asuncion. Visited three times during our week long visit and enjoyed each meal. Favourites dishes were the ceviche and the Surubi and prawn Atalaya. Steaks were good too. Friendly and attentive service in a relaxing atmosphere.

For our last dinner in Asuncion, we took the advice of our guide and hotel (La Mison) and went to El Dorado. As soon as we walked in, I knew we made the right choice. It's not stuffy or resting on its laurels, but rather friendly and modern. The food was a mix of classic and modern. We both went... More

A fantastic dinner in an absolutely extraordinary setting, a perfect match! This place is not to be missed when you are in Asuncion. The service, the food and the wine cellar (mostly high end Chilean wines) is outstanding. Book a table on the veranda, and you will not want to leave...

What to say, if their food was as good of the service and the setting, they would deserve 5 stars. But unfortunately it isn't. The colonial villa the restaurant is in is great and the interiors are modernist and on the essential minimalist side, which I love. The service is better than very good, is excellent. And they have a... More

Was in town for 2 days on business. Great setting in a Colonial style mansion. Good creativity on Paraguayan cuisine, while have an international twist. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. A solid choice to try if you are in town for just aq few nights and want to try some good Paraguayan food.
