I had a pizza Calzone there, which was quite okay. Service is efficient and it's a nice place to chat with your friends watch people go by.it's also nice in the afternoons to have a coffee. Their coffee is great but then again the French know their coffee. Prices in Cayenne are a little bit on the high side.

The menu was only in French, and not too many choices. Luckily one of the waiters could speak English. I had their specialty burger with French fries and it was very good. A burger, fries, salad, and a mojito was about 25 Euros. By South America standards that is expensive. But this city isn't cheap for South America. I came... More

The location is great... the room i stayed was good... the first night was cheaper... so be careful.. they change the rate on you.. at least they give you suggestions of other places to go... food is not all that.. but there is Hippopotamus about 30 seconds walk... breakfast is the pits... a better breakfast would really be worth the... Situated in a nice old building right on the main square, Les Palmistes is a great people-watching venue. Sit on the terrace, but you will get the occasional beggar. Mostly a pizza place, we had the catch-of-the-day, which was very good. Hey, it's not a meal for the ages, but service is decent, prices are not bad for Guyane, the... More

The Palmistes is the quintessential bar/restaurant in Cayenne. Located at the edge of the massive square of the same name, this delightful colonial building houses a very fine bar, restaurant an, now a few boutique hotel rooms. The bar, however, is the place for visitors and for people watching; the restaurant is mostly a (good) pizza place, but being one... More

Food is mostly for tourist and locals but pizza is not very good, very far from the italian one, while they have some good dishes, especially fish. However, if I could chose another one, I'd rather do it.

The location is great, on the main street. Great place to people watch. The food is average, nothing spectacular. I paid 26 Euros for mojito and a plate of fish and rice. Dinner starts at 7pm by the way.

Nice place. Good, simple, food. Service can take a while though but they try to talk English which was a plus for me.

We had friends that live near Cayenne and chose this place to eat. The menus are in French and the language is French so our friends that to translate and order. Their hamburgers would make the Big Mac look like a puppy OMG the taste!! Service would teach the U.S. how it should be done. One the last day of... More
