This place was amazing for several reasons. First, the food was amazing. The tamarind ribs are a must have. The shrimp was also very good. Two, the entertainment was fantastic. We danced, ate and drank all night. Not sure why anyone had problems with this...More

What a great place for entertainment and dancing. They have a large main stage and the music alternates between live bands, DJ's, and breaks for the artists when Latin Music just pumps out of the overhead sound systems. Three levels so there are great views...More

We got there and from the start their staff helped us with the stroller (twins) all the way up to the second floor (no elevator). For appetizers we shared Chicharroncitos , chorizos, patacón ... all were superb !!!! After that I had a Sancocho !...More

The place is big, with good decoration and the food is good, you get to hear vallenato all night long and some of Carlos Vives hits. The downside of the place is the service which is awful and the prices are quite high. Up to...More

Many people think this is great just because its owner is Carlos Vives.... wrong! Last Saturday 3 of us went to have lunch. When we sat down a guy just handed ONE menu, I tried to get more but it was impossible for 15 minutes!...More

what is the average price for alcohol?

Response from KriticL | Reviewed this property |
USD8-$12. Bottles more expensive. But with the exchange rate of 2800 pesos to a dollar you will be drinking a lot at a very affordable price.
Is the Gaira Cafe open Sunday evenings, and is there cumbia dancing on Sundays? Thank you!

Response from Juan L |
I have been there bunch of times and the best days to go are Fridays and Saturdays nights. They are open all day on Sundays.
