I walked into that place by coincidence, as it's right in front of the park and I needed my morning coffee, I had the most delicious capuchino, then I was told this is the famous coffee shop in Colombia, it's like Starbucks. For me I liked the coffee better there. I tried there bakery and regular coffee other times and... More

The best coffee in Colombia. I guess not only in Colombia, but in the whole world. One can purchase coffee beans too, very convenient.

Polite and prompt service. I wanted to exchange the type of coffee I was purchasing (to bring back to the US) and they exchanged ground for whole bean with not problem. Very nice service.

One wants to weak up and enjoy a cup of coffee immediately, but you have to wait because you have to go to work, then you realize that near your office there is a coffee shop, so you count the time to arrive there, and when you finally arrive and ask for a Juan Valdez medium cup of coffee and... I prefer a more individual cafe', Juan Valdez is a chain that you can find all over Colombia, the coffee is good, the service is fine, if you are in a hurry it is always good to take a cup with you.

Instead of looking for a Starbucks, head to Juan Valdez! The coffee was excellent. We ate a light lunch there one day, and my husband even got ice cream there. If you are a coffee drinker, this stop is a must!

So, obviously Colombia is known for it's coffee, right? Before hitting up Juan Valdez we were able to enjoy some "good" coffee. We hit the jackpot, though, when we ventured out of the pouring rain into Juan Valdez. The employees were courteous even though our Spanish is limited. Frankly, I couldn't say what I ordered, because I basically told the... More

A well established coffee shop and cafe chain, Juan Valdez serves hot, cold, ground, or whole, one of Colombia's main products -- coffee. The stores, which resemble Starbucks only a bit less generic, sell their selection of coffee (hot or cold, brewed a couple of different ways) alongside a modest assortment of tasty Colombian desserts and bakery items. Once you've... More

If you are a coffee lover as my friends are you will rejoice to finally discover Colombia does have great coffee shops! Being a chain the shops can be found in other cities so keep on the lookout for their distinctive maroon umbrellas and signs. Heaps of options and a great brew awaits you.
