We went there twice and enjoyed their starters: mussels, shrimps with garlic and grilled baby squid with onion (a la leonesa), which was really tender. Reasonable prices. Definitely one of the best dinner options in Punta del Este.

The food and the prices make this a great restaurant to the family. Very inexpensive seafood. The waiter even put a peppermill on our table which is a rarity anywhere in Southern Cone South America. To top it off it was the best service we have experienced in Uruguay as well.

It is not chic, but has superb fish. Few restaurants have such a variety of seafood and fish.

Punta can be suuuuuper expensive, but this place has a great menu with incredible pastas and good fish options at half the price of their neighbors. Try to get a reservation, because this place fills up - even slightly out of season.

Arriving 4 hours late from BA due to a terrible rain and wind storm. We stashed the luggage and staggered through lashing wind and torrents of rain to El Pobre Marino at 11:30 pm. Don't you love being to eat whenever? The waiter seated us, dripping, and brought us one English menu and one in Spanish. Perfect! We split a... More
