We go to have the fondue each year we visit Punta del Este. It is one of the traditional restaurants, and well worth the expense!

If you feel like a good Swiss / German inspired meal with a hint of South America ...you are in the right place . Everything in this restaurant is actually very good . From the fondues ..., even though they are cooked with oil and not broth ..which means your entire clothes , hair etc. smells after eating of fried... More

If you want to be transported away from the beach and into a totally different environment this Punta restaurant will transport you to Switzerland. The complete wooden interior, including the chairs and the waitresses with dirndl skirts and knee socks only enhance the Swiss menu. Fondues are the specialty however the Rosti potatoes are second to none. I had the... More

The food is average and relies more on the fondue experience than on taste. This would be fine if the service was decent, unfortunately tonight it was non existent. We had an early reservation at 20:30 and the place was empty yet the waitresses just stood talking to each other without bothering to look our way and see if we... More

Restaurants that maintain the same excellent quality through the years are rare, and this is certainly the case here. Wonderful Rösti potatoes and Fondues. Also some salad and fish choices. The only suggestion would be that they bring back the regular marshmallows and flat cookies for the chocolate fondue instead of their new additions.

While the fondue is good, it is so expensive that we will not go back there. Not worth it. You feel ripped off when you leave the restaurant.

We were in a group of 5 couples so I made a reservation (bungalowsuizo@adinet.com.uy). We had delicious cheese fondue which costs 1.800 pesos. The waiter told us each fondue was for a couple, but we ordered 3 and it was enough. 5 would be appropriate only if we were starving and even still maybe too much. Don´t miss the sweet... More

Bungalow Suizo is a sure thing. You will never be dissappointed. I´ve been eating in this restaurant for over 40 years and it is always very good. It´s food is heavy, and we always doubt wether we should go or not during the summer, but every time we go, we never regret it.
