Our group of 6 had arrived in Doha that morning and were keen to explore the souqs. A friendly Nepalese shopkeeper recommended Bandar Aden as excellent Yemeni food and he was right. At first glance the restaurant is a little ordinary but very quickly we were shown to a little raised area of our own with carpets and cushions to... More

We are family of Six and we rarely agree anything together, but this restaurant, we have all agreed that it was best food we had in Doha. We are visiting here for family vacation, from Western NY and in my opinion if you visit Doha you must visit this restaurant. For me, it will be worth coming back to Doha... More

Once we found this restaurant through the friendly help of the souq's shopkeepers, we totally enjoyed this Yemeni food. Looked like a place that locals eat, service was hectic but friendly and adequate. The food wasn't "adequate", it was over the top abundant, and we wished we'd only ordered one meal to split. The bread was really fresh, hot and... More

It's not fancy. It's not big on variety. It's just good quality Yemeni food in an authentic setting, and at a very reasonable price. Sit at a table, sit on the carpet in traditional style, your choice. My favorite eating place at Souk Waqif...not well sign-posted, it looks over the Souq Waqif Park toward the Corniche. Enjoy a simple night... More

This is a humble place in Souq Waqif where locals eat which is different than most fancier restaurants you might find at luxury hotels. In Middle Eastern countries, usually, the restaurants that are at the commercial centers (Souqs and Bazaars) are among the bests. This restaurant is even more unique because it offers Yamani cuisine that cannot be found in... More

Not Qatari traditional food, it's a Yemen traditional food. It shows the impact of Yemen to Gulf region. Very delicious food .

Excellent place in Doha to have Arabic Mandi / biriyani. The mutton Hanid & chicken Ogada is a must try. The soup they served before food was so yummy.... The place is normally very crowded. Not very family friendly. So I suggest take away is the best option for family. This is definitely one place you will return to have... More

This restaurant at Heart of City Doha, Inside traditional souk called Irani/Souk Waqif. Traditional Yemeni foods, mouthwatering tasty foods. Well cooked Chicken Meat Mutton with delicious rice varieties. If you know arabic to speak then you have big menu to order it. or else limited Manthi rice with any of meat/chicken.

Quirky middle-eastern working man's cafe, characterized by a general chaos of unattended customers waiting to find a table, which is uninviting on arrival, and a source of irritation once you have yourself been seated. It has to be said that the bread is fresh, and very tasty. The sheer size makes up for the fact that a third of it... More
