I decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at this wonderful restaurant. From the moment I called I felt the professionalism of the staff. The lady on the phone was polite, quite informative and efficient. Dinner started with a bread basket along with olives spread and smooth butter. We had a salad, beef stroganoff and salmon teriyaki with jasmine wild rice.... More

To be seen or not to be seen...the former surely. The best place to rub shoulders with politicians, bankers and the Housewives of Beirut! I can never remember what's my favourite dish most likely because they are all so good but most probably because nothing really stands out. I keep going because they stick to their no smoking policy and... More

This is a family favourite but I feel it's time for an interior decorator to give it a face lift. The food is decent, bread is excellent as well as the butter, my quinoa salad with avocado and shrimp was very tasty, grilled sea bass was a little boring, deserts were excellent. What I found rather annoying is the music... More

Cocteau is my favourite restaurant in Beirut. The wine list is simply outstanding, and the food is all perfect delicately flavoured and well balanced. My usual favourites are the Sea Bass and all Tartares. Knowledgeable staff and professional... You feel at home.

By far, Cocteau is one of the best restaurants in the Lebanon. The food is exceptionally fresh and makes you want to go back more often. Although, it's not a Michelin level French and seafood cuisine but I am sure it can take that extra step to become the first Michelin star restaurant in Beirut on condition to maintain balanced... Le Cocteau never disappoints patrons. Every dining experience I have had there was excellent. the last one was an engagement dinner for my daughter. Service was very refined and up to expectations and the food was delicious.

This is one of the most pretentious places in town where people go to get seen and not for the food. The pasta I ordered was cold and sticky. The waiter of course proposes you the most expensive on the menu, among which a fish tartar. You ask what kind of fish they serve and they start their comedy giving... More

This has been my first restaurant in Beirut and I still remember it for the amazing, cosmopolitan atmosphere and the excellent food based on french inspirations and local influences. I had avocado tartare and quinoa with shrimps and tasted different dessert, everything was good and the service very professional.

Cocteau targets an upper-bourgeoise clientèle mainly from Lebanon and Syria of people who want to see and be seen. This is not the place to enjoy an anonymous lunch or diner. Decoration is nice and sophisticated but better suited for the evening. Quality of food is very good but lacks creativity. Grilled meat and grilled fish make the basis of... More

Elegant restaurant, superior eating, highly recommended for a business lunch or a luxurious dinner among friends and or business partners. The crab salad and the filet with the cheese cake glacé would delight you...
