If you for some reason are in Burj Hammoud (or any place for that matter) and craving a heavy hearty breakfast, then I HIGHLY recommend this place. The interior, although shabby, is spacious and a bit rustic. The service isn't the best yet the quality of the food totally makes up for it. Portions are generous and all ingredients are... More

One of my favorite’s restaurants in Beirut/ Lebanon. It is small in space (can hold no more than 20 persons) and this is the only disadvantage of it. The food is so yummy especially if you looking for local dishes there . . . I recommended the Below: 1-Houmiss With Shaurmah 2-Raw Beef 3-Taboulah 4-Rahib Salad

Nice little restaurant that my wife and I discovered when walking from Hamra street to Pigeon Rocks. We were attracted by locals sitting in the restaurant and obviously enjoying the food. Once discovered, we went there every day during our three-day visit to Beirut. The food is delicious and prices very reasonable. The best are cold appetizers/Lebanese mezze: hummus, vine... More

I can rarely find such a combination of great food, good service, moderate prices, hygiene waiters, and nice clientele in one restaurant. Abou Hasan is the place to have all that and more. Visitors are middle-class tourists and locals. Don't miss it. Call before you go to have a good table.

Abou Hassan is a pretty old landmark of Caracas area in Ras Beirut. I have eaten at the restaurant a great number of times over the past 18 plus years. The restaurant offers a nice variety of different mezze, salads and meats. Breakfast menu has everything a traditional Lebanese breakfast would offer including foul, eggs, labneh etc... As for the... I've eaten at Abou Hassan several times, and I would surely list in my top places in Beirut: the location is small, and looks very typical and laid back. The service is ok, the quality of the meat is great (whatever you order!), the mezzes are fine too, and prices are just cheap!

This is a small restaurant that was recommended by a friend. I suggest just eating a bunch of salads, that will fill you up for sure. I got the sense the restaurant was clean [I ate raw kibbeh, very tasty], the staff was friendly, and the service fast.
