This is a place for a quick snack based on pastries filled when many types of cheese. You can take away or consume on site. It is open most of the time till late at night. Everything is baked all the time and therefore all fresh around the clock.

Huge stone oven with crazy good baked traditional israeli pastries! Best sambousak i ever tasted! The best is the pizza sambousak- ask for the giant hot sauce bottle and you'll lick your fingers.. They also have great hummus and awesome cookies for a good price.. A must in jerusalem- especially in the middle of the night (open 24) when you... More

it was a little bit difficult to order the table but at least it was great. the staff very very professional, you can ask differnt questions about vine, meals etc. they know everythig( that was a big surprise for me) really one of the best places in jerusalem.

Mifgash haEish has been around in Jerusalem as long as I can remember (40 years). Though not in the actual center of town, it is frequented by locals and travelers (I once ran into Itzhak Perlman there).
