I ate here for the majority of my stay. This is in part to the excellent quality of food but also the friendliness of the staff. Even if we passed them during the day, they would always stop us to just say hello and ask...More

Average quality and expensive. Well situated. Once we finished our dinner they tried to cheat us with a fake tour of the Via Dolorosa. Do not accept any "help" from them, they just want your money.

We used the Lonely Planet to find this establishment. It was quite busy as it was Easter Sunday, but the service was good and the food was tasty. For what we received it did seem a bit expensive, but there are not a whole heap...More

We didn't find anything else, so we got in. They charged us 400 NIS ($100) for a lunch that should cost 200. The food wasn't anything special, and unlike other Arab restaurants, the dishes were small and not generous at all.

The pizza was soft and chewy but still very light. Freshly made, basic toppings. 35 shekels includes a lemon and mint drink. Whilst this is not cheap by Spain's prices, it's reasonable here.

We went there for a quick meal for a family. The waiter offered us a "family deal" as he called it - 70 NIS for some salads and mixed grill. The food was nothing special- but at that time we thought it was ok for...More

This is an excellent place to stop for a meal along the Via Dolorosa(across from the Austrian hospice and Armenian Church Station). I had a very tasty salami pizza with a garlic hot sauce(recommended) that is some of the best hot sauce I've ever had(Owner...More

Basti is located across from the Austrian Hospice. They have quaint tables located right on the Via Dolorosa. It is the perfect place to get a fresh juice (pomegranate, lemon mint, carrot, etc) or a Turkish coffee and people watch. We loved this place so...More
