Wife and I tried Kalo Cafe on Beit Lechem St. for breakfast. We chose the “simple breakfast” which arrive promptly with a variety of freshly prepared salads including fresh kale with pomegranate seeds, cubed cheese, green olives, tuna, and Israeli salad There were two small...More
We ate here a couple of nights ago with our family of 3 kids under 10. We really enjoyed it. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared 2 starters of vegetable antipasti and french onion soup. Both were very tasty. We all had pasta for...More

The best thing about Kalo is the small but impressive selection of very cold draft beers such as Tuborg and Hoogarden. Belly up to outdoor seating at the bar, take seat and dine al-fresco from their dairy-style menu or cozy up in a booth inside,...More
A friend was visiting from California and we headed to Kalo for brunch. As we perused the menu we started with coffee and when we decided on a brunch with coffee included we assumed it would be part of the "deal." Instead they charged us...More

Every couple of years Kalo manages to piss me off enough that I decide I'm never coming back. Once they charged me extra for decaff coffee, another time they wouldn't add an extra slice of bread to breakfast. But I'm always drawn back because of...More
I visit this cafe occasionally because it's a calm and nice place to sit with a laptop for an afternoon. Their food is interesting and the atmosphere is quiet and neighbourly. They don't seem to mind people sitting with laptops and working and the staff...More
The first evening the plate we ordered was very Good. However the capucinno was cold. The following evening we went there again and ordered the same dish - it came totally different and certainly not as good. Once again the capucinno was cold!
Neighborhood coffee shop, serving excellent breakfasts, original salads, dairy-vegetarian treat with good coffee.
Came for breakfast, menu was different and delicious. The place is small so can get crowded quickly, wouldn't come there with a big family because we would get in the face of the other guests. For a yummy quiet breakfast or coffee- great place!
