Great food. We tried Qidreh which was exceptional and mulukhyah which was good as well. Good deserts.

Authentic Mediterranean food, great chill vibes and a beautiful interior. Definitely recommended for a meal after walking around in the Old City.

We arrived late, and Old Jerusalem is not really the town to dine, because is usually all closed after 6 pm. We arrived to Amigo Emil with low expectations, just a recommendation from a great souvenir shop owner, and we felt at home right away. The building is 500+ years old and it is very nicely renovated. I have the... More

I love briyani rice, but the Shish Taouk here is brilliant! Deliciously grilled chicken cubes with optimally flavoured briyani rice grains. Excellent! One of the best briyanis in the world that I have tried!

I was part of a group of 25 pilgrims from the United States, who by prearrangement through out tour operator, Breaking Bread Journeys, visited Amigo Emil restaurant for lunch. Located on the Via Dolorosa, the restaurant provided us a wonderful lunch, consisting of the typical elements of delicious hummus, olives, breads, salad with a mixture of vegetables, and a main... The restaurant was very clean, the service was prompt, and the local food was quite good. We even enjoyed a glass of wine and were pleased with the beverages too. The location was easy... More

Located along the Via Dolorosa in the Christian Quarter this is an excellent stopping spot for a meal. Family run for more than 400 years the restaurant is housed in cave like atmosphere. The owner wanted to expand, but was stopped in doing so when it was discovered that a rear wall dated from the Roman period. The food is... More

Nice and cozy place with open space. The boss is very friendly - you kind of understand, why is it called "Amigo Emil", and food was simply delicious with local dishes and fair prices. We loved the place and enjoyed our lunch and talks with the boss a lot.
