I always take guests here for lunch after an early morning visit to Ephesus. It has a Turkish hospitality and cultural charm. We enjoy interacting with the cooks and chilling in the open-air environment.

For a variety of reasons we ended up having breakfast here two days running. Both were excellent. Very charming, very atmospheric, very keen to serve, great selection of Turkish breakfast goodies...just order the full breakfast, you won't be sorry, but maybe just three amongst four or you!

On bus tours you are always a bit wary where they take you but this place hit the spot !! We sat on cushions (a bit tight for 1.9m) in a covered area away from the heat and waited for the ladies to freshly prepare our Turkish Pancakes (Gozleme) and had a selection of vegie, cheese & meats. All lovely... More

Down a dirt road just below the Grotto of the Seven Sleepers (underwhelming site) is this delightful place for Gozleme, thin Turkish pancakes stuffed with all manner of yumminess. It's easy to dismiss this because it's a random little restaurant, but we were drawn by the scene of the women rolling out the pancakes into paper thin rounds and stuffing... More

When I come to Selcuk, a visit to Yavuz'un Yeri is a necessity! We use the excuse of walking from Selcuk - about 2 km and considered our 'exercise' - to relax at Yavuz's restaurant. His business started over 30 years ago and has grown over the years only in charm and with an expanded Turkish menu. He serves authentic... More

If you are sick of hotels and restaurants throwing the Turkish idea of Western cuisine onto your plate, and you want to try authentic Turkish dishes... and if you find yourself in the vicinity of Ephesus...then look no further. This charming taverna- style open-air dining place is a short drive from the 'upper' entrance/exit to Ephesus. I was delighted with... More

Just loved the food, very cheap for the quality and loved the authentic atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff make up for the fact that no one speaks any English. Bought a few lovely silver trinkets at the little shop next door. Beautifully cool on a hot day.

We came here with a tour group. Never would have found it on our own. Food was delicious, especially the pancakes. You know they are absolutely fresh as you can watch them being made on the premises.Toilets left a lot to be desired but it seems like many places in turkey have icky toilets. Come for the delicious food .... More
