Wet Burgers. At first, i was hesitant but my friend had recommended this place in specific and seeing the line outside told me it was special. It was definitely clean. The wet burgers are delicious, not to everyone’s taste as they can be full of spices and very wet indeed. But if you wanna try something very Turkish, this is the place to do it. It’s 6 TL

After seeing so many social media influencers eat at this place and even major Tv talk about it,i had to try them. Tried the chicken shawarmas and the wet burger. Both were delicious and moist. Big thumbs up.

Onca influencer ve yemek rehberinden sonra ilk kez meşhur Islak Burger'i denemek için Kızılkayalar'a gittim.
İstanbul'a geldiğinizde mutlaka denemeniz gereken lezzetli bir burgerdi. Burgerin yanına domates sosu çok yakıştı.
Diğer yemekleri yemediğim için maalesef yorum yapamıyorum.
Mağaza çok meşguldü ama servis çok hızlıydı.
After so many influencers and food guides, I went to Kızılkayalar for the first time to try the famous Islak Burger.
In itself it was a delicious burger that you should try when you are in Istanbul. The tomato sauce went very well with the burger.
Unfortunately I can't report on the other dishes because I didn't eat them.
The store was very busy but service was very quick.

Went to the Taksim square location and seated at a table and then promptly ignored for the next 10 minutes while several other tables, all of whom came after us were served. We left after being ignored for a good 10 minutes. Not surprisingly, not a single person including the person who seated us made an effort to ask us anything. The only thing different about us was our skin color (the rest were Arabs and Turks while we were brown skinned Indians). I can't say for a fact that they were racist but will leave the readers to make their own conclusion.
Won't be going back and will never ever recommend to anyone else either. There are a gazillion restaurants who are happy to have our business.
About the food? Don't know. Don't care.

yes the famed wet burgers (sloppy Joe's) are tasty in Kadikoy. many locations around Istanbul. get one or 3 with french fries. they are so yummy especially after a night of cocktails (and before actually). you owe yourself a couple of these. yeah i know you are eating later or you are full so was i.

Avoid this place at all costs. Our beef doner was served with cold and dry meat. We ordered a half chicken it was DIGUSTINGLY DRY. We complained to the cashier - he laughed and said we need to pay full price. DISGUSTING FOOD & DISGUSTING SERVICE. STAY AWAY THIS IS A TOURIST TRAP.

The unique was of this place’s signature item which they call “burger” it’s basically placing a medium cooked beef Pattie inside a bun and pouring tomato sauce made of commercial Cetchup + water used to be good. Not anymore , it just be sure to overdose of ever changing the client base that are less Turks nowadays like it’s pity indeed

Istanbul city of delicious cuisine. In taksim square there is a shop name kizilkayalar which is famous for its wet burgers and shawarma. They also have variety of fresh juices. Must try ❤️🇹🇷❤️

There were few different same kind of food stand in the same area. Somehow this was more expensive than rest of places, yet more people were around. So we tried wet burger here. Wet burger came of immediately. It was surprisingly nice!!! I was in some way skeptical initially as “wet” buns. But it does not feel soggy, just nicely wet. Definitely need to try when you come.

The most hygienic shawarma/kebaps/wraps amongst all the shops around. The taste was very good.
The location of the shop is also very good, right opposite Taksim Square!

Since the late Anthony Bourdain ate here i just had to try this place! We had the lamb shawarma, the Islak burger & Lemonade!! The Islak burger is a "wet" slider sized burger, the bun was fluffy, with a juicy patty. It is dipped in some sort of spicy garlicky tomatoey meat broth! Simply melt in your mouth delicious!

The wet burger “Islak burger” is a great snack but quite small and it sells for 5,5 TRY. The bun is dipped in tomato sauce and the meat is like a regular Turkish meatball (Köfte). Overall, it’s tasty and I’d recommend it. The ayran they sell is also good, but ask for one in a glass. The place is small and generally crowded at lunch time.
