We went here for our last night in Istanbul and had a great experience. The view is magnificent! And the food is also good. We were 4 people where 3 of us shared mezze whilst the last had the ribeye. The sharing platters were very...More

Cozy place for a cold spring. We have ordered some vegan stuff and nonvegan stuff from the menu. I highly recomend the goat cheese! It has a creay texture covered in dough and in my opinion with some baklava sauce! (Picture no.2) Must see and...More

Who I am: A young professional looking for hotspots in Istanbul. We had planned to dine at Leb-i-derya; which was recommended to us by friends. Upon arrival we realized however, that all guests were international, which made the place seem little authentic. The vibe was...More

This top floor restaurant brings a lot of detailed attention...to the food messes hot and cold (large portions), the decor (relaxed posh bit upmarket), the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. View to kill though it was raining 2nd we visited but still no disappointment.

There are a handful of terraces that look out over the Bosporus just a stone's throw from the madness of Istiklal. Leb-i Derya is one of the more pricy ones, but the food is justifiably good, and the view simply cannot be beat. An assortment...More

To be able to find a nice table, you need to book in advance. Try grilled octopus and mezes. We ordered 3 different meze plates, sea bass on mashed potato, salad, dessert, plus 3 glasses of wine, a small bottle of Turkish raki and paid...More

Time your visit with the sunset—and the evening call to prayer. That’s when young locals file in for cocktails, like fresh-ginger–and–muddled-lime mojitos, and jockey for steel stools on the open-air terrace overlooking the city’s two coastlines and the Bosporus strait in between.
