It's got sweeping views and is a good place to rest after seeing the palace, and I had no problems with the coffee, juice and desserts, and even the staff were quite friendly for a tourist place. However, it costs literally twice as much as most places in the tourist zone - turkish coffee is 14 lira plus 8% service.

You can enjoy everything in Istanbul here. Beautiful scenery, theview of the Bosporus strait, Topikapi Palace, and traditional Turkish cuisine. I spend a whole day in Topikapi Palace so I enjoyed both lunch and dessert. Noah's pudding;Turkish traditional pudding is highly recommended. The soup is delicious, too. The price is a bit expensive, but just think as this: It's worth... More

Lunch on side of hill overlooking the sea. Food options are good. I enjoyed beef and chicken shawarma or doner kebab platter with sides, etc. Quite tasty.

Inside Topkapi Palace, near the 4th courtyard. You can see a signboard, and just walk down. It offers good view of the Bosphorus Strait. Good for having a coffee break, after all the walking. Be prepared to pay 5-7x more than outside though, for a cup of coffee. However, we have no complains, as we are in a palace, and... More

This cafe in the grounds of the topkapi palace, has great views over the Bosporus. we had coffee, fruit and cake, which was all very good, I thought it was a bit on the pricey side compared to similar fayre we have had elsewhere in Istanbul, but I guess the location commands a premium

During a private tour trough old town Istanbul we had lunch in this place. It's situated within the sultan palace complex and has a really fantastic view over Bosphorus. As we where there with our guide, which knew the people, we were treated super friendly. Food was great and so we really enjoyed the time between the walks.

I found this coffee shop great but bit expensive as it is tourist poi and the only one. It's self services type of place and they have verity of options and delicious by the way.

Empty at 11am on Friday in July, staff were very friendly and I didn't at all mind paying TL13 for my black coffee considering how spectacular the view is. You get what you pay for.

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
