Very calm and cozy place with the wonderful photos of Ara Güller. Little bit overpriced but the atmosphere is worth it. Herbal tea is great. The right place to stretch your legs after long walk.

Very busy location and not easy to find seats during lunch time. The foods are great but a little costly in Turkish standards.

The food and the view was good. Inside was more cultural and the atmosphere was artistic, But maybe by this price you can eat food in better restaurants.

A nice place to take a break. Smart and relaxed place with good flavors with a strong turkish touch. Good for breakfast also. With nice and cool young people. The place is better during the winter months with a nice atmosphere. The only quite bothering is the non smiled slow staff. But this is quite common now days in Turkey.... More

The previous reviews gave high hopes but both the meatballs and fried chicken were not very good. In both cases they had been cooked a long time ago and had dried out, the chicken was very chewy. The salad had roast vegetables with the same problem. If the food had been cooked freshly then it would have deserved a better... More

We stopped here in November of 2014 with my Turkish/Canadian partner, his family and one of his old University friends who lives in Istanbul. This café is tucked away in a tiny little nook off of the main Istiklal thoroughfare, definitely something that can be missed if you don't know it's there. We arrived later in the evening, closer to... More

Great food at a good price! 2 salads were very good and unlike your usual salad it was extremely filling... Meat portion was very generous... (the main part of the meal!)

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
