The place is just next to the Chora museum. It serves one of the best tasting dishes in Istanbul. Great place to rest after walking around.

If you think (like I did) that Turkish food is only about kebabs and mezzes, and are looking for something more eleborate, try Asitane. The dishes are very well thought of, delicate and simply delicious. Thanks for the great meal.

Asitane has been the pioneer in carefully researching and recreating long forgotten dishes of the Ottoman Empire since 1991. The restaurant introduces new menu items for each season of the year, all dishes are delicately selected and cooked with seasonal ingredients and local produce. Located right next door to the Chora Museum where you can see the world famous Byzantine mosaics, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner everyday between 12:00 - 23:30 except Wednesdays. While having your meal, you can also enjoy live Turkish music on evenings between Thursday and Saturday.
