Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There was so much food. While they could not do a buffet because of the current circumstances, they overloaded my table with the most delicious food of all kinds! The staff are so attentive to detail and care. Thank you for always starting my day well!

We visited the restorant for breakfast during our weekend stay.
Food is great the stuff was very helpful and were happy to fulfil all me requests
The only issue I had with the restorant was the high price.

I had 8 meals at the Brasserie during my recent 3 night stay at The Intercontinental, 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 1 dinner. I have to say no on-site buffet has been so perfectly executed in my history of travel. The food at Brasserie was never repeated over the course of my visit, the stations here are perfectly planned with emphasis on Turkish cuisine. Usually one gets bored on 2nd or 3rd day from repititive hotel breakfast but this place always had something new to offer. The staff here also is highly professional and concerned with manager checking the food regularly, the head chef making rounds and inquiring about the food while the serving staff is always quick to respond. My favorite station was the grilled station which offered brisket, ribs, salmon and steak during different meals.
The desserts were also very versatile yet aromatically delicious. This place is so nostalgic for me that I will definitely plan a breakfast or lunch here on my next Istanbul visit, even if I am not staying at the Intercontinental. Yeah, it's that good.

Had great lunches with beer sitting out on the patio of this restaurant. A wide range of Asian and European dishes to choose from and excellent service.

Had evening meal and breakfast. Service at times was slow for both meals, but overall enjoyable. Good various sections especially at breakfast. The staff should explain the eating arrangements when you go into the restaurant, it would help on knowing what the set up is.

We ate here on our first night at the hotel, after the long flight from California, not wanting to venture out at 9pm on our first night in town. The menu had a number of items of interest, with pricing consistent with the hotel location. I ordered the beef kebab, hoping for the traditional Turkish dish. Instead, it was kind of a deconstructed kebab, with heavy pita soaked/cooked in butter, with incredibly tough beef, and precious little sauce. I clearly made a poor choice. A nearby table had copious amounts of food, and seemed to enjoy it. You might do better at the restaurant at the top of the hotel, which has a spectacular view over the Bosphorous

The breakfast, often included with the room, has a very large selection of Western and Turkish fare. The service is very attentive (eggs and omelettes are cooked to order; but you use a little card at your table to order with a server, and they bring it to your table).

Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
