After eating many kebabs we decided we needed something different for our pallet. Found this thai restaurant after some research. Not too hard as there were 3 Thai restaurants the rest were all part of the same chain. Arrived at around 9pm and there was...More

Great little restaurant close to hotel, attentive kind staff, sat outside and got a little pestered by two little girls but staff helped me out. Good choice of standard Thai fair, tasty, filling portions, would return.

This is an authentic Thai restaurant in Pera on the Galeta side. We asked for hot curry and we got it. Excellent vegetable spring rolls, so-so fish cakes. I'd avoid the wine. As is often true in Istanbul it is on display at room temperature...More

Great atmosphere with foliage outside and attractive interior. The green chicken curry with rice was very fresh and tasty. Prices are slightly on the higher side (40- 50lira for main course and drink) but worth it! Staff were also very friendly.

Today I tried their beef satay and I must admit it was very tender, juicy and tasty. Our Turkish friends no longer need to search for good quality "kusbasi type meat" in Istanbul.

Description
ÇokÇok, the successful and popular purveyor of Thai cuisine in Istanbul, continues to attract gastronomes in search of adventure and novelty to the eclectic Tepebaşı district with an expanded new menu by its renowned Thai Chef Ms. Nuch. Equally exciting is an entirely new cocktail menu created by its professional bar team that represents a first in Turkey with its innovation and originality. Offering a relaxing and cozy atmosphere in its bar with the latest lounge music playing into the wee hours, ÇokÇok will continue to be a popular meeting place this winter for locals and visitors alike. Here are just a few of the new tastes offered by ÇokÇok’s expanded menu: “Tofu soup (Gaeng jued tao hoo khao)”, prepared with mung bean noodle, bean sprouts , and soy sauce. “Grilled calamari with garlic souce (Pla mac yang ka-tee)” black pepper lime leaves, and sweet red chilies served with fried rice marinated with garlic. “Fried rice with chicken (Khao phad phrik kaeng khiao wan kai)” prepared with green curry, spring onion and garlic served with Thai omelet. “Steamed Seabass (pla neuzg manao)”, a real treat for hot and spicy food lovers, prepared with hot chilies, garlic, soy sauce combined with lime leaves and fresh ginger. These are just a few of the dishes’ specially prepared flavors. “Fried lobster with garlic sauce (Lobsterthot ka tee)” enhanced by the perfect harmony of oyster and soy sauces with black pepper…The unique and remarkable cocktail menu is an experience in itself...One sip from the exclusive combinations of exotic fruits and vegetables will take you from the heart of the city to a whole other world. Designed to complement the foods with similar taste motifs, choosing from the new cocktail menu may prove to be a distracting challenge from the extensive international wine list. There is not a single ordinary or classic choice among the original cocktails prepared with fresh and natural ingredients and offered as an aperitif or digestive to dinner. Especially recommended are the spicy Pam-Dor that will warm you up even on the hotest summer evening and the coriander and ginger-flavored Rain Odaiba, a perfect compliment to ÇokÇok’s chicken with fresh ginger.ÇokÇok is the ideal address to drop by to awaken your senses with a deliciously spicy cocktail in the middle of the day, enliven your day with an exotic salad, or build up your strength with a nutritious and filling soup. Those who feel they deserve a little indulgence may stretch out on the traditional cushions at the mezzanine floor any time of the day and refresh their body and soul with a fresh fruit salad with bitter and sour sauce. Designed by the internationally acclaimed, award-winning Singaporean architect Kay Ngee Tan, ÇokÇok in Beyoğlu’s Tepebaşı delights the eye as well as the palate with an interior space that reflects Thai customs in a style of casual chic. With its cozy lounge bar where you can spend many pleasurable hours. With its flawless and courteous service in the tradition of Far Eastern hospitality, and its modern, exotic atmosphere and extraordinarily rich and tasteful menu, ÇokÇok is a very special place indeed.
