This restaurant is also a must do in Vientiane. Very tidy, clean place , outstanding food and excellent service. We really enjoyed our meal here and to be honest I would not know what to add next to this review apart from a thank you note to the staff and cook of Laos kitchen.

The herbal appetizer dish at Lao Kitchen is excellent and a must for all who visit this restaurant. Other dishes are also nice and foreigners can enjoy tasty Lao cuisines with a nice cold Beer Lao happily.

Everything is perfect in Lao Kitchen. The food is delicious. It is more than reasonably priced. The ambience is great. There is a choice of ground floor seating with natural ventilation and upper floor with aircon. The service is professional and attentive. The menu has a wide selection.

Very reasonably priced for what you get, good quality food and very good size potions! The staff tended to all our needs in a very professional and efficient manner on short notice, extremely clean through-out which is always a good thing! This is a type of restaurant where you can comfortably bring your family and is children friendly! though it... More

Bright yellow walls and shiny tiled floors greet you as you enter the double shop front. Honestly while it looks spotless, it does feel a little sterile. By now we knew what Laotian dishes we enjoyed so we selected some familiar ones; grilled riverweed, sundried beef, sour soup with fish, minced pork & basil laab (salad), stir fried frog with... The menu offers a considerable range of dishes, and everything my friends and I ordered was very good. I should note that two members of our party, both born and raised in Laos, thought the food was excellent. Service was courteous and efficient. The place does fill up, and it might be wise to get there by 18:30 or so.... More

This place is a good introduction to Lao cuisine. I had the pork spring rolls and the fish laab and both were really nice. They were busy but the staff still gave good service. Seemed to be a good mixture of locals, tourists and expats in there too which is always a good sign.

I don't get the negative reviews here. There's a huge range of food from the north and south of Laos. They've got some unusual picks, such as frog and buffalo skin. The food I got tasted great at a good price. Authentic? I wouldn't know, I'm not Laotian. But it was good!
