This used to be my very favorite restaurant in vientiane when I worked here for many years. But it seems to have changed. The molten chocolate cake was not molten, overcooked. And usually, in the past, I was made to feel very welcome from the moment I arrived until the end, when I was graciously served their home-made Limoncello. I... More

I went to L'adresse several times last month and got to try several of Tinay's dishes, and fell in love with his ribeye steak....but then discovered his skewers of ribeye steak carpaccio. That's just one of the best dish I ever had! The carpaccio skewers are just sizzled and come with some ratatouille or french fries, and a choice of... More

Outstanding French cuisine in Vientiane. Impeccable preparation and plating. Service quite good. You can certainly get a much less expensive meal in the nearby night market, but the food here is in a class by itself. Prices reasonable (by Western standards) when considering ingredients and preparation but not inexpensive. Good wine selection as well.

For a number of reasons it has been quite a while since we have eaten here. However we decided to go last nigh. The white vinyl seats are showing he wear and tear of time, They are a bit soiled now. There were many specials. mainly dealing with foie gras. We shared one of these as an entree and it... More

One of our fondest memories of Vientiane (when we visited 5 years ago) was dining at this restaurant in it's original location. The husband and wife team were charming, served delicious, unpretentious food with excellent wine list. Tonight, I am back alone dining in their swankier new location and it is a mere shadow of it's former self in terms... More

Expensive and i would have preferred to stick with local cuisine, except i wanted to experience french cuisine in a former french colony with many expats still remaining. Its almost always better to eat local food whilst travelling, so i would say stick with local food near the night market or lao kitchen unless u are really desperate and nostalgic... More

Living in Vientiane, I have been going to L'Addresse from time to time for a couple of years now, after my spouse was introduced to it by friends. I was surprised at the couple of negative reviews when I happened to check out this site today, I was looking for the opening time. We go there every month or two,... More

went to this restaurant as it looked really cute and I fancied french food. They had a menu for dinner but decided to go for a la carte instead, I had a free cold tomato soup (gaspacho) and it was absolutely delicious...unfortunately it went downhill from there. My starter was ok (tuna was a bit dry), nothing fantastic, my main... More

Heard a lot about this place. Expectations were high. Ordered the dinner set for 3 and a carafe of house red. Seems a little half hearted. Can't blame them I guess. Next time ala carte. Had a much better meal at Ansara

Haches Parmentier (aka cottage pie) utterly exceptional and visited more than half a dozen times on the last Vientiane excursion. Owner and Chef are keen, know the sources of quality ingredients hereabouts, and the results speak for themselves. Try it
