This vegetarian restaurant was just what I was looking for at lunch time (after strolling around the streets of Vientiane), buffet style, lots of choice. Price was ok, staff friendly and helpful.

the Khoudin Vegetarian Resturant is a Lao style vego restaurant located in a market environment ... the staff were friendly and helpfull with limited English ... the food presented in typical Lao buffet style so it will eventually become lukewarm ... there is a microwave for staff to re-heat the food if requested ... the main customers of this restaurant... I don't understand the plethora of positive reviews. Just because a restaurant is vegetarian does not mean it deserves kudos for its offerings. Bat guano is also vegetarian. Having lived in Southeast Asia for a while, this place offers vegetarian food like many others---a milloion ways to cook tofu with as much salt and MSG as the law couldn't care... More

Everyone's right this is quite hard to find and the directions given below are fairly accurate but it's best to just wander around the area and hope. I got there late about 1pm and the food was almost gone and fairly cold. Not sure when they open but it definitely closes by 2pm. I only had to pay 20,000 also.... More

It's not so hard to find either! Walk the street between Talat Sao (morning market mall) and the bus terminal up north and turn the first possible alley right. There is a wood basket shop at the corner. Then walk about 100m and you'll see a big sign 'vegetarian food'. The coordinates are: Latitude: 17.96460915 Longitude:102.61681366 I got there about... This place can be a little hard to find. I used the suggestions on the posts below, so check them out... but it is behind the market, cross the road and once you find a basket weaving shop turn right. It's about 50m down the busy little street, on the left. It has a big 'Vegetarian' banner out front. The... More

This place may be a little hard to find : go behind Talat Sao, cross the road, turn left and then take a right on the corner by the basket shop, place is on the left after about 50 m. Worth finding, good buffet selection of Lao and Chinese style veg food, 25,000 kip, eat as much as you want.... More

Located in the mess of Morning Market area. This small buffet restaurant is a good place for a quick cheap vegetarian lunch.

This one isn't easy to find! I was heading the wrong way up a one way street against a tide of scooters in the midst of the market but found Khouadin. I was expecting a restaurant but this is more of a very basic eatery which I suspect is mainly to offer cheap food to the market stall owners. I... More
