Signs that a curry has been microwaved from frozen/chilled - 1. Caramelized edges of curry around the rim of the sauce 2.Pieces of meat that are colder than the sauce that it's suspended in 3. All round low temperature of the curry itself. Both mine and my partners curry had all of these signs. A freshly made or at least... More

This restaurant is easy to be found as it is located near Mekong Riverside. I ordered fried rice and it taste salty. a bit dissappointment, but the service was good.

I spent two nights in Vientiane and had dinner at this restaurant twice, and in fact took friends back on the second night. We all enjoyed the food, the service was good. The decor is fairly ordinary, but that's ok, because the food makes up for it, very tasty.

We love Indian cuisine and have eaten it all over the world so decided to try it in Vientiane. We were not disappointed. When we were waiting for our food we commented that this restaurant reminded us a lot of India. It is plain and a bit run down but don’t be put off. The food was excellent. We had... More

This small cafe-style restaurant was unpretentious and simple in its' design with a comprehensive menu. We came across it by accident near the (overpriced) motorcycle hire shop we used. I chose 2 orders of 'Banana Roti' with a dressing of condensed milk to share between me,my wife and our 5 year old. It was fabulous, We enjoyed every bite. I... More

I braved a long line local Laotian food stalls along the Vientaine riverfront to call at this place for two reasons. One, after all the local food over the past few days, I was dying for a taste of Indian. Second, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how Indians landed here in Vientaine of all the places... The food here is really tasty, we both had potato curries which had great flavours! The price is so cheap, as a couple we had a curry each shared rice, naan bread and a drink all for 39,000 kip just under £3.00 which is amazing, you would struggle to get one meal for that price in other local restaurants! You... More

After Nazim last evening I went to Fathima for lunch today. The restaurant is old and not so clean, but the masala dosa and the vegetable pakora were very good. The fresh lemon juice with lower sugar reminded me exactly of south India. I liked the gentle service as well as the family atmosphere where people were watching some old... More
