We love Furusato. It has been a family favorite since we moved to Bishkek. And now we love it even more as the staff wear masks and the owners clearly take COVID seriously. We feel safe when we dine in and know our take out food is safe as well. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!!

Hidden gem

Such a beautiful little cozy restaurant that has a Japanese chef who lives right next door. The food was very nice and the sake was great however the menus were very overwhelming since there was so many things to order so it got a bit confusing. Their matcha cheesecake was superb too

The best restaurant in town.. I have tried many restaurants in city, but disappointment:( unfortunately there are not many options for fresh and quality food.. If you are fresh food follower you have to try it for sure.. Do not waste your time and money to discover something amazing.. you will not find anyway.. They have all kind of food including sushi so enjoy your meal....

I sadly admit that my impressions of visiting Furusato have deteriorated significantly. It used to be so wonderful here that I was happy to recommend this place to friends. However, now my impressions are greatly clouded. I was here for the first time about 10 years ago, and almost every time I came on a business trip with my team, I stopped by and this place was a real find, but now it is far from the joyful experience it used to be. Service seems to have gone downhill a lot. It used to be so comfortable here, but now it feels like the waiters are in a hurry to get rid of customers. As soon as I put the spoon on the table, they already start cleaning, as if they want to clear the table as quickly as possible. This really makes it seem like customers are being chased away rather than being served. But the incident with the Udon soup was a real disappointment. In our soup we found crab sticks not unpacked from cellophane. We asked to clarify what it was, and we were only told that they simply forgot. Is this a reaction to such a situation? We expected at least an apology and a more responsible attitude. It's a shame that the service has dropped so much in quality. I always chose Furusato because of their delicious cuisine and pleasant atmosphere, but now my feelings are not so joyful. I hope that management will take measures to improve service and monitor the quality of food more closely.

With the hall half empty, I was seated at the counter next to the noisy kitchen. Cheap menu design. The laminated pages are not the first fresh and gleam. The menu design is that of a cheap diner. The food ordered is quite edible. Nice pieces of salmon and tuna on sushi. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the eel in both sushi and roll. Wasabi and ginger are clearly greedy. I had to ask for extra. Sitting practically in the kitchen, it was not difficult. And separately about the price tag. It surpassed the Frunze restaurant. Disappointment, in a word.

Excellent sushi

Great atmosphere - intimate, greenery everywhere. From the outside it looks very much like establishments in Japan itself. Excellent cuisine - if not Japan, then certainly Thailand/Indonesia, where it is very, very close to the original. To be honest, I didn’t expect to see this in Bishkek. The fish in the sushi is excellent, the sushi is formed correctly. Very tasty rolls, the salmon was seared just right. The Furusato cocktail is more beautiful, it tastes... somehow tasteless, but I definitely won’t lower the rating of the establishment, because I had great pleasure. Not on a budget - alas, as always for really high-quality sushi. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, it doesn't taste good. It may be an authentic haute cuisine restaurant, but it's a huge disappointment. I've been in it a few times before, there are certainly interesting dishes, but they're all for one time. Unfortunately, even medium delivery, cooks better than this "restaurant."

Best restaurant in Bishkek and the best japanese I have been. It seems to be in Japan and food is delicious. There a great variety of Sushi and ramen. Waiters speak english so it is easy to order. This is a must in Bishkek.

This Sushi Chef is the REAL DEAL! Stopped by for lunch and the place was packed, we were lucky to grab two seats at the counter. I was visiting from NYC and was not expecting this guy to throw down this amazing Sushi. This is a must when in Bishkek

A must do if you like Japanese food

Very delicious food and a very nice place to have dinner or lunch. We went there for lunch and we would come back at anytime. The service was very good and we really enjoyed the experience.

Absolutely fine dining, in a casual Japanese environment. The chefs are creative with the fact that there is not a ton of fresh fish in Kyrgyzstan, every ingredient is super fresh and handled with great care. The restaurant is tucked away on a pleasant residential street. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We really over-ordered because the portions are more generous than we typically find in sushi restaurants in the US.
