This restaurant was suggested to us by a colleague for our final dinner of the business trip and we obliged. The restaurant interior is reall cool as it is designed to represent medieval uzbek architecture. We went there on a friday night and our evening started with a music program which included several nice and catchy uzbek songs. We noticed... More

The place itself is great, a huge building welcomes you to this immense dining hall where very large tables are set up. The food itself is very good, but you can tell this is more pf tourist and expat spot than it is local spot.

The summer patio of Alasha is very nice and it looks like a place when you like to spend lot of time dining with friends. However, food disappoints a little. Not that is anything wrong with it - but it is simply a bit bland. We had strange dumplings with spinach & cheese - definitely too large as a starter... More

An unusual looking restaurant from the outside, looks a bit like a mosque with huge wooden doors at the front. The service here was not great as we first arrived as a huge table of 40 was just leaving. It took a while to get drinks sorted, the English of the staff was adequate enough to get our orders across,... More

All foreigners are proposed to that place. The reason is impressive size and architecture and pseudo national shows (noisy but funny). Food is far from the best Uzbek or local food you can have in the city. Too fat and heavy. The service is also not the best. Price above the market. One can enjoy viewing the building from car... First time in this one, they told me the main one is in alma at a, but the concept is the same. Food is good, we took the horse meat, kebab, stuffed ravioli. Dessert nothing special, wine we had a good pinot noir from Kazakhstan.

Went there at weekday, restaurant quite empty and looked rather depressing with its false decor and plastic ornaments. We were given an extensive wine list, after we had chosen our wine the waitress informed us that only one type of red was available, an undistinguished "vino rosso" from Tuscany (the stuff you find in Italian supermarket for a couple of... Not as varied a menu as the other Uzbekh restaurant in Astana. Vegetarians have almost nothing no the menu. The building is beautiful

The bread was fantastic. The concept is simple and the quality of the food is ok. Not fantastic but ok. The service is polite and quit ok on the speed. I was positively surprised but a dance show. 5 lovely ladies performed what I assumed was classic local dances. They finished with belly dance.

I found this restaurant tasty, in both decor and food. Being spacious and cozy, I had a wide choice of cozy spots to lose myself into. I loved the wall decor, of soft light, bowls and plates, musical instruments and antiques. The food I had was a chicken breast stuffed with tvorg, cheese and spinach, baked, and served with rice....
