This place is fine, but totally average. The unimaginative name of the restaurant is mirrored by its blandly concocted cuisine. It's not that it's bad: you'll get a decent meal here (though the person at the Lonely Planet who said this place serves large portions obviously has a very different idea of what 'large' is compared to me... I suppose... More

This place has a big variation of vegetarian food. Plates are $2.75-3.5 and rice os just $0.5. It's hard to find good vegetarian food and also such cheap one. Highly recommended.

Lots of Veggie options. Very reasonably priced. Visited rather late one weeknight as the kitchen was about to close. Tried their Amok. Just ok. Fried options not for me. Still would go back another time. Pleasant patio and service was good.

Staff were lovely and we were so thrilled to find a veggie restaurant as my mate usually suffers (I am a heavy meat eater). The prices were really reasonable but i just found the food tasteless :-(. I really wanted it to be great as it was nice but after 3 times there i decided i wasn't going back as... More

My friends and I went to The Vegetarian with the knowledge that the previous reviews mentioned food going bland... well you get what you pay for. Food was of average taste at best but cheap.

This restaurant is a real treat for those who are vegetarian and non vegeterian alike. Its a great example of how food can be gloriously good and varied while remaining vegeterian. Great value at about 5.usd per person for a meal. Nice ambiance too.

For the owners benefit to help identify the problems - visited during evening of Thurs 19 Jan 2017. This business has been around for sometime - we visited them back in 2012 and the meals were great, however on this occasion the food resembled the slop I would imagine would be served up in a veggie prison - The room... Great Vegetarian food with a good array of dishes - slightly more expensive than anticipated but there were five of us. Just over the road from our hotel

The food was delicious, the staff very sweet and attentive, and the patio is just lovely. I wish i had come with a friend because this is an experience worth sharing.
