My husband and myself visited this restaurant during a recent visit to Phnom Penn having previously read reasonably good reviews about it. Once seated, we waited some time to be given a menu, which seemed remarkably extensive. Eventually a waiter came and took the order...More

I ate at the Magnolia two years ago and the service was so bad I thought I wouldn't return but my partner wanted to try Vietnamese food so I figured Magnolia might have had a bad night when I last ate there so maybe it...More

I ate here twice during my most recent visit to Phnom Penh. First time was with an American friend where we had what I would call conventional fare. Ate outside which I found very pleasant. Found the pancake to be only OK but the other...More

First we went for dinner : all the dishes were delicate and tasty, with wonderful flavours. Then we came back for breakfast : indeed one of the best Pho soups in Phnon Pehn ! Highly recommended

Nice location and housing with open garden and beautiful terrace full of green tropical vegetation. But food lousy despite the huge menu display. Service ok done by young good willing people. but not properly trained. Bill ok.

Dirty outdoor dining. Dirty animals running around. BIG menu, but all food seems to be more or less the same. My "stir fried" noodle was simply some overboiled wet noodles. It wasn't even hot. Horrible place.

We were brought here on a Monday evening, and we can see that Magnolia Vietnamese Restaurant was housed in a handsome building. We ordered a vegetable, Vietnamese spring roll (which you have to roll it on your own), stirred fried beef, seaweed soup, braised pork,...More

Ordered the banh cuon. That was really nice and so was the pork meat. What let this dish down and ultimately the restaurant was the rotten lettuce and ‘fresh’ greens. There’s already concerns about contaminated vegetables in the country. Serving rotten and black fresh lettuce...More

We had a fabulous night - great food good service, reasonable wine prices and the food was really good. Can highly recommend the spring rolls best I've tasted so far in Cambodia. We went with a group and every meal was great. would highly recommend.

Ordered spring rolls, chicken noodles and a stir fried beef dish between 2. Tasty food, big portions. Few drinks and the bill came to $22, can’t complain but didn’t blow me away.

Description
On the corner of Pasteur and Street 242 Magnolia’s publicity leaflets say it aims to serve the best Vietnamese cuisine in town – and on our visit, the claim certainly seemed to be justified. The restaurant is set in a lovely old villa where you can sit either inside or in a leafy courtyard, and all the food is deliciously fresh and flavoursome. Highlights included the crispy Vietnamese pancakes, cooked to order outdoors, roll-your-own fresh spring rolls and cress soup with fishballs. It’s open for breakfast (great Pho) lunch and dinner, and the cocktails are good too. We visited several times during a recent stay in Phnom Penh, and weren’t disappointed once.
