About
La Croisette was founded in 1997 as one of the first restaurants in the Cambodian capital following the catastrophic Khmer Rouge regime and the turmoil of the 80s and 90s. Originally a French restaurant, La Croisette since then has not only been offering some of the best hospitality in town, but turned into an institution along the famous promenade lining the Tonle Sap river and the Mekong. European-managed and with a friendly team, we offer Mediterranean specialties as well as a large choice of modern and classic European and Asian dishes. Our breakfasts are legendary - please enjoy the view from our first-floor, green The Garden terrace or our air-conditioned indoor spaces. We look forward to welcoming you.

After reading the many great reviews we had to try this place. We wandered upstairs to the garden room where we could watch the boats ply the Mekong, kids playing soccer across the road ( and sometimes on the road!!) and all the Australian traffic rules broken- we did see a family of 5 travel on one motorbike. Anyway the restaurant: service was great, my smoked salmon salad was delicious( 5 out of 5 for the dressing) but his squid was disappointing- the tentacles were cooked to perfection but unfortunately the squid tubes were chewy. French wine was nice but only reasonably priced, we could get the same for less than half the price at a convenience store. All in all pretty average but a nice place to while away the hours

During my stay in Phnom Penh I fell in love with this restaurant. First I went alone and enjoyed the varied options for vegetarians in their brand new menu, which is true to "wysiwyg" - what you see is what you get. Then I invited my friends, a Khmer family with their children, for lunch. They all enjoyed their meals and what they had selected. The kids of course wanted also some ice cream from the huge variety in La Croisette's own Ice cream shop. Finally I also invited an Italian friend - himself a good cook - for a late dinner and found him quite enchanted by his meal. In fact I myself was tempted by the meat and fish options and regretted a bit, that I do not eat meat anymore... We all were treated very accommodating by the staff and enjoyed the nice atmosphere in La Croisette.

When you look for a good mix of Italien and Asian food plus a place which is modern and professionell than this is a very good place. Be prepared to pay more (pizza for above 10 USD, cocktails at 6,50) but expect very good quality of both international and Asian dishes. When we scsnned the menu we thought the pictures of the dishes were faked as they truly authentic Italian, but they came and tasted exactly lile that. We lilked the open first floor but you may also sit on the ground floor with AC or outside.

I ordered wienerschnitzel: chewy. I think the chef took it out from the freezer and put it directly into the frying pan. Service is quite variable. I asked for a bottle of wine and the waitress brought me a glass. The waitress didn't asked me what I wanted with my main meal. I had to reorder to get what I wanted.

La Croisette has become my go-to place in Phnom Penh for both breakfast and dinner. This establishment offers a delightful experience with air conditioning, table service, and a wide selection of breakfast choices. The staff speaks English, which makes ordering hassle-free. I find La Croisette to be an underrated gem among the options available. I’d strongly recommend giving it a try. The restaurant boasts exceptional value for money, and their daily $4 cocktail offer is a fantastic deal. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this restaurant. It provides an enjoyable dining experience with great prices, making it a definite must-visit in the area.

We were looking for a comfortable place to have breakfast and relax before heading to the airport. They had excellent menu choices especially if you are looking for Western option. We found the food, iced cappuccino and fruit smoothies tasty. They also accept Visa. We sat inside for air conditioning at a window seat. Not only was the food and service good, it was a good location to sit and watch the people and traffic go by.

I used to come here a lot when the previous Maitre d' from Austria was still in charge. There was a decent balance between quality of food and drink and the price one had to pay. Now they seem to have forgotten that it isn't a valid business proposal to suck your (foreign) customers dry and, at the same time, fail to deliver. I think that won't work in the long run. Example: Pizza. No, it is NOT "wood-fired" as you advertise, it is bland, a sorry example of what a pizza is supposed to be, frozen supermarket ain't any worse. Service: Without any charm, soul-less. Skip it, relly not worth the outrageous cost.

We came here as we wanted to cool down with some ice coffee overlooking the river. If you sit upstairs, you can get a good view of the river and watch the boats go by. We got some ice cream too, the chilli flavor was a bit spicier than we imagined :) Good service!

My wife had specifically asked for the garlic prawns, which we have had before, and asked for no chilli at all to be added. It came covered in chilli, and despite picking them all off it was too hot for her to eat. When this was addressed with the staff, nothing was done, nor was the price taken off the bill. As others have said, the prices are high but the food has usually been good. However, a restuarant which does not serve as requested in advance, nor does anything to address an issue they have caused themselves, does not deserve much custom. It certainly won't get ours again.

My wife and I stopped here for ice cream because we liked to visit the old Blue Pumpkin second floor lounge. The downstairs is basically a non descript ice cream shop, the same as Blue Pumpkin was, then we went upstairs. They have turned the place into a virtual garden oasis. The place is beautiful. Plants everywhere. Tastefully decorated and big open sides that overlook the river and riverside below. The dining area is stunning. The staff seemed distant and more interested in checking their phones and chatting with each other. Eventually we were waited on and ordered one of the signature sundaes. The serving size is small - especially if you plan on sharing a sundae with someone. We enjoyed our time in this garden type setting until the bill came. This sundae was $6.50 and to top it off they added a 10% tax to the bill. We actually asked the waitress about the tax and she had to point out the small print in the menu that this place adds a 10% tax to all bills. Why not just add that to the price? I dont know of any other places along the waterfront who pull this shady billing practice instead of just posting the final overall price for each item. At $7.15 that sundae is more expensive than most at my home in the USA! My other issue was they didnt provide tissues for the customers. There werent tissues on the tables and nothing came with the sundae. Thus you could see drops of ice cream on tables when customers left as they couldnt mop them up on their own. Beautiful place but we left disappointed.

Arguably one of the best restaurants on the Riverside strip. It’s been open for over 20 years and has been a firm favourite of mine in the six years I’ve been living here. It simply never fails. The menus is expansive but you can trust every dish. They never seem to put a foot wrong. Service is attentive and speedy. While eating here is great, so too is sitting outside and having a couple of cocktails. Taro chips are served with every drink and while they’re not quite as good as they used to be, they’re still a nice touch. Caipirinhas are highly recommended.

With the renovations, the garden bar and eating area upstairs is delightful. Under the fans it is not so hot as outside on ground level. Of course there are great views of the Quay and river. I had garlic prawns then fried calamari with kampot pepper (favourite dish in Cambodia.) Both were delicious. Considering the quality of decor, and prime real estate, the prices were very reasonable in my opinion. Meat based Western dishes cost a bit more.

We went for pizza and beer during Happy Hour and everything was great. Hostess Natalie was wonderful and took good care of us on a very busy night. Our pizza was hot and delicious and the Hops Angel beer cold. Thanks Natalie. Downstairs Thary makes the best coffee, with love. I highly recommend a visit and seating at the first floor garden space is open air with a great view.

Shocked with the prices they dare to charge! Small Kulen water, 500ml, for $2!50 is not normal. Bottles costs $0.40 max. Capuccino $3.50 is high as well. Do pay less in my 5* Bangkok hotel. The location is good, but I think many people are shocked with his price list/ menu.

Thanks for your review, but we have no issue with customers leaving once they see the menu and our pricing. We certainly don't charge 2150$ for a small water ;-), and our pricing overall is in line with other fine restaurants, and certainly much cheaper than a 5-star hotel in Bangkok.

Husband had a steak, he said it was one of the best he has had. i had a pork dish. The sauteed potatoes were lovely. To drink, the husband splashed out on a 10 dollar glass of red, I stuck with the pinot. All in all, 1 10 dollar glass fo red, 1 normal glass of red and 3 glasses of white. The bill came to 60 quid.
