Great place to try the local cuisine with curries, salads, and other dishes in a relaxed setting. You can trust the water, ice, and fresh vegetables here. For two members of our dining party, it was their second day in Cambodia. We were pretty sure...More

Popped in for lunch and was met by a warm welcome, tasty food and a ok coffee. They contribute to a social fund for poor people. Nice atmosphere. One downside was the coffee was pretty tasteless but its a struggle to get a decent one.

Fantastic food, wine and service catering to Western service standards employing and training local young Khmer people. Best meal we had in Phnom Penh. We also ate at the sister restaurant in Sihanoukville and would similarly highly recommend. Very good value for money.

As the main picture shows, trying the tarantulas is a must. They come crispy with a tingling pepper sauce that you will never forget. The value for money is outstanding: dinner for two (3 dishes and drinks) came out to be around 20USD, can't beat...More

Excellent selection of Khmer dishes, clearly designed for those who know what they want. Excellent service and nice colonial atmosphere. Great for sharing dishes.

Our group chose this restaurant because it trains local young people to enter the food service industry. It was raining, but the outdoor seating was dry with lots of night-time dining ambience. We each selected an appetizer or entrée, so that we could all share....More

I like the environment there. This is another good restaurant to eat Khmer food. :) There is a shop which sells Khmer Arts and Crafts inside that restaurant.

I had the famous chicken curry. Little worried as there was a grease slick on top. But once cooled off a bit and stirred-in, delicious. Stellar service. Training staff of disadvantaged youth need to realize that wait staff at some point during the meal service...More

This restaurant is a teaching restaurant for former street youths, I would have liked to seen more students and less teachers, I think it's was like 2 students to about 7 teacher which is crazy. You go there thinking you have students wait on you,...More

Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.
