Myself and 3 friends attempted to go on Monday evening and upon arrival the gate was closed and lights were turned off. I’m not sure but it might be permanently closed.

We enjoyed the open air of the restaurant, the service, food and prices! The restaurant is up a narrow stairway with open air seating, the staff is friendly and attentive. Our main server, Ngoc, taught us how to say some of the menu items, chatted...with us and gave us honest recommendations. All of the staff work the room to ensure everyon has what they need in this bustling tourist, yet pleasant restaurant. The food was really good and a great value. We had bon thit nuang (my favorite), pancake, fried spring rolls, stewed pork and a pork claypot. All were delicious and filling and our bill never exceeded about $14 US, with beer. By our final meal, several of the staff stopped by to say they remembered us and Ngoc asked to take a picture with us. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back! ( we were actually there in November 2017 and I just realized I never finished this post)More

Signed up for a cooking class with my friend, we were taken to the fresh market to buy ingredient and it was fun seeing the local markets. Did a few dishes and we get to eat them as well. It was fun!

We did a cooking class with Châu, the enthusiastic teacher, she was excellent! We are vegetarian and our diet was catered for really well. There was a trip to the market to source all the ingredients, Chau explained anything and everything we weren’t sure about....After we got back to the restaurant, she demonstrated as we cooked along with her. She was so informative and helpful as we went along. We made a starter of spring rolls, a tofu clay pot curry and fruit flambé. Highly recommend this class, excellent way of learning how to cook Vietnamese food the right way. Also really good value for money! We were given a present of a short cookbook, spoon and grater/peeler tool, which, whenever we use them will remind us of our trip 😃 Highly recommended!More

Visited Lanterns on the recommendation of a tourist guide and were not disappointed. The food was some of the tastiest we have had during our eight weeks stay and the desserts were delicious. It was a unique experience to have attentive staff who were responsive...to our requests friendly and helpful and who were not glued to their phones. A very pleasant dining experience.More

Expensive! Totally over rated, the food served are by apprentice cooks level. Taste awful and overall it's a tourist trap. Another thing are the waitress are rude, they don't like Asian.
