After 2 weeks of savouring Vietnamese food we were hugely disappointed with the offerings here. None of the signature flavours of ginger, mint, coriander, morning glory. Boringly bland. I would not have liked the back room table with the toilets so close. Had to go back to the DMZ bar to cheer ourselves up.

Great service and lovely food. Vietnam just keeps surprising us with the quality and variety of the food and tonight was no exception. We only ate the Hue specialities and they were all wonderful but our favorite was the pork on lemon grass skewers, wrapped in rice paper and dipped in a slightly spicy peanut sauce. Scrumptious😊

We enjoyed the vietnamese speciality (Nem Lui) and the marvelous desserts (mango tart and banana crepe). The espresso coffee was excellent. The staff is very friendly and everything is clean. You'll like it too!

Carambole is an ok restaurant but nothing special. Food is well presented but rather bland. Pizzas are lacking in taste maybe because of a rather unusual cheese. Need to up their flavours!

We felt we needed some western food for dinner and so went to La Carambole...we went in blind mainly due to the setting. While the pizza's were nice they were way over priced for their size and quality. We found drinks were also on the higher end of Vietnamese prices too. It ended up a +900,000 VND dinner and it... Lack of love. Tourist trap. We ordered a mushroom pizza and a menu. The pizza did not.contain mozzarella or anything remotely like cheese. The dessert was creppe sucree, they bring us this ( see pic ) They hate food and they live from old reviews that hang from the door and a French name. Avoid at all costs, when you.read... More

Wonderful old villa feeling. On quiet side street near citadel. I felt like I was back in 1960s vietnam. Food very good. Extensive menu and good bar

Just absolutely loved this restaurant and especially the fried prawns and the flambéed banana. Was recommended by our guide and was spot on for us - not too expensive, delicious food and very friendly staff. We are only here for 2 days but will definitely be eating here again.

I ate here twice while in hue and found it to be the best restaurant I ate at in the city. The crowd is a bit older and "classier" than most other restaurants in the city as well. I definitely recommend it.

The first time we've seen a menu displayed on an iPad! There was an excellent selection, the food was very good as was the service. The staff were very helpful in explaining ( mostly through mime) what we should do with mixing, wrapping and rolling the food!

Thank gtna
