The Propaganda menu, with its fresh spring rolls, noodle salads & crunchy rice bowls features simple yet amazingly flavourful food prepared with the freshest local goods. Think 100% local, envision “redesigned” home cooking, all with Vietnamese ingredients only, home-baked bread for the banh mis, home-made tofu (with and without egg), home-made ice-cream, home-made soya milk, home-made everything! The propaganda art on the walls is a take on a very local art form that came to life in the 1940's. Our mural was commissioned by us and designed by a local artist. It is a happy rendering of the Vietnamese country and city life. Our cushions, bench seats and napkins are in tune and make the experience complete, an immersion into a Vietnam gone by...

We happened to walk past this place whilst looking for a dinner location. It was very busy but we managed to get a table. We were told 30 min for food, but it didn't arrive after 1 hour and so we left. Apparently they had a gas issue in the kitchen. They were super apologetic and wanted to make amends so we booked same table for following night. When we returned we had an amazing experience. Food turned up after 20 min. They had good wine by the glass options from France and reds from Australia. Prices reasonable and menu a modern take on Vietnamese food. We ordered slow cooked beef, fried fish, noodle salad and I had homemade tofu and bean salad with endamame. The tofu was amazing and the dressing on the salad so delicious. Everyone was super happy with their main dishes and the fried and fresh spring rolls we ordered a entrees were really nice as well. We ordered the signature mango sticky rice and one serve of homemade ice cream for dessert to share and both were really great. The lady who normally organises the group functions was super helpful resolving our bill the first night and took personal care of us the 2nd night. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the food and the vibe is nice inside and out.

Absolutely lovely food with plenty of flavours. The place is on the smaller side but we booked online before hand so this wasn’t a problem. There’s also seating outside which is sheltered incase of bad weather. Lots of good options on the menu, something for everyone. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and spoke good English. They even bring you a bowl of nuts while you’re waiting for your food to arrive, which didn’t take long at all. We had two mains, a side of spring rolls, and two drinks, and it came to just over £20, which is amazing. Definitely a place to try if you are in the area.

I would recommend this place to everyone the staff are so smiley and kind, the food is amazing we had fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and pho and a noodle salad dish. The restaurant is decorated with amazing murals inside and we also ended up chatting to locals from the area who also love the restaurant. Go here if you are in Ho Chi Minh!!

My group was guided by a tour guide to Propaganda for lunch. Everything here was ok except that the Fresh Chicken Rolls had a strange object on it that made me feel like vomiting , but when I informed the male waiter , his attiude was very apologetic and he enthusiastically offered me many solutions ( good service ) . But in the end , I decided to return it because I felt so disgusted and haunted

We came here by chance as it was 2 blocks from our hotel and had a very nice outdoor seating on a busy street with a big central park across it. However, the seating is not that comfortable as many tiny tables are packed in a relatively small outside area.
Waiters are very kind willing to help you and recommend dishes. Menu is not that extensive, but still have to choose.
We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 mains. All were delicious, slightly higher priced than others we ate later, but pretty cheap for western standards.
I wouldn't go out of my way coming here, but if you're in the area it's convenient to stop.

We had two amazing visits here during our stay in Ho Chi Minh City: the first was on our first night when we had a great dinner with really fresh and tasty food at a fraction of the prices you would pay elsewhere and yet it was fabulous. The second was a lunch and again great service and food. Propaganda is a must visit if you are in Ho Cho Minh City.

Many people go to this cafe largely for the cool propaganda wall paintings and other decorations. The food we ordered was also good, but not exceptional. Good fried spring rolls for 110K VND and 135K VND for a small glass of Heart of Darkness pale ale. Expensive, but you're paying for the ambience!

Very poor and rude service. Service was slow, staff could not remember orders and was rude. Upon completion of dinner, staff at exit also got the cheek to stop us leaving and rudely asked if we had made the payment.
On the whole, gives the impression that they are racist and want to serve caucasions only.
Quality of food is just average and nothing to shout about.

A great place for informal dining, relaxed atmosphere, and great staff. The fresh beef and lemongrass spring rolls were divine, probably the best spring rolls we've had whilst in Vietnam. The main courses were delicious too, the portion size was really generous, so worth bearing in mind if you're unsure as to how much food to order.
Good selection of drinks, including some wine by the glass, although a little pricey.
All the staff speak really good English and are more than happy to chat and have a laugh. Loved the decor, too, and the colourful napkins you can buy, a great memento.
If you are passing and wondering whether to pop in, you'll not be disappointed.

The place is really cool, nice decor and great service by the young smily and helpful staff.
I had two specials of the day, a crispy sea bass with brown rice and then a dessert, a three scoops ice cream served in the coconut with its juice served on the side! I must say that I really loved both, I had a simple yet satisfying lunch and then I was ready to keep walking in the hot but very beautiful Ho Chi Minh City.

A beautiful and creative setting, we ordered the spring rolls chicken/crab, so tasty!
Followed with the beef soup noodles and the beef noodle parcels, both dishes were perfect, great value for money also! Highly recommend

6 of us had a wonderful dinner last night here. The service of excellent, food was served in a timely manner and tasted fresh and an explosion of flavours. The ambiance of the place was classy and relaxing. Highly recommended!

Propaganda was recommended by our hotel, who booked a table for us, and I was so glad they did, it was fantastic. The menu was great, all Vietnamese food with plenty of choice, and a great drinks menu.
We shared fish cakes with ginger sauce, roasted chicken with broken rice and lemongrass beef with rice noodles – it was all delicious and great value. Rather than desert we enjoyed a couple of cocktails (a Saigon Heat and an Asian Sapphire) and they were lovely.
The décor of the restaurant is really colourful, it’s lively and the service was great. Very highly recommended.

Food was good but service was chaotic. We ordered drinks on arrival but my beer didn’t arrive until after I’d eaten my starter. Our friends were sitting on a table for 6, 5 got their main course together, but had almost finished eating before the 6th person was served. There. Were lots of staff running around but nobody seemed to me managing the service and staff did not complete one job before starting another

Good menu with plenty of choice, beers good too. It's a big restaurant with some large groups of tourists at times, so service sometimes took a while. Good value for what we had, and there weren't many similar places to choose from nearby - I'd go back.
