Nothing beats a Vietnamese sandwich in Vietnam. I asked my AirBnB host for a recommendation and he suggested this spot. Clearly it was popular because there was a line when I got there and a line when I left.
I ordered two, one for now...and one fir later. I having just come from central Vietnam where their sandwiches are smaller I did not anticipate how big these sandwiches were. I ended up only eating half and saving half. Have my extra to my host who introduced me.
Really tasty and the price was more than reasonable. However, I’m a central girl when it comes to Banh Mi.More
Hyped as being the best Banh Mi in town it is a take-out not an eat in venue. The food was served quickly and at a reasonable price but it was only just worth the effort of finding it and negotiating the murderous traffic in...the area. I would have no need to go again.More
This place has one of the best banh mi's in Ho Chi Minh. But personally I felt it would be better balanced with a little less meat, and I'm saying this as meat eater who doesn't eat much veggies.
If you're in Ho Chi Minh...and are on a hunt for the best Banh Mi like we were throughout our travel starting from Hanoi and working our way down to Can Tho area, I highly suggest you try this other spot called Lo banh mi Van Anh. I couldn't find it on trip advisor so I just recently submitted a request to have it get created. However, you can check out my post for it on Google maps, just search for, "Lo banh mi Van Anh" as of Feb. 25, 2020, it only has 12 reviews so it's still really unknown to the world but of the 25 different places we had in Vietnam so far, I think it's the best Banh Mi.More
The Banh Mi is worth a trip to Vietnam all by itself and the Huynh Hoa knows how to make them!! You will find the location by looking for the line. No worries, they move folks through quickly. Its just a sandwich you say? Try...one and you will see. If you don't like spice, tell them no peppers. Then sit back and enjoy!! Well worth giving one a try.More
I've been to Vietnam five times and this is my favorite banh mi in Saigon. They're a tad pricey at 47K but worth it. They're quite large and have a generous serving of fillings. Be prepared to line up for 5+ minutes but it's well...worth the wait, and they're very quick to make them once you get to the front of the line.
The banh bao is delicious and often overlooked. They're huge and a bargain at only 20KMore
