The food was delicious and well-presented and the service was efficient and professional. We loved the fresh spring rolls with sour pork, and the green mango salad. The fish in coconut cream was delicious. While there were lots of young people eating there, the separate dining areas kept it from getting noisy.

You can't beat this combination a foundation that given young adults from underprivileged and difficult circumstances an opportunity to have a future in the restaurant industry and great food to boot! Must haves include fish in a coconut cream sauce.

His restaurant trains young people who face various challenges to be restaurant staff. We found the service charming (if a little intense at times) and the food rather good (especially as we had a set menu). Everything was cooked and served properly and the drinks orders (and bills) all came to the right people. This was a thoroughly enjoyable meal... More

Crowded and noisy. But roof top dining. Food was good. Tasty and came out fast. Can't talk. Too noisy. Worth the visit but be aware.

Dear seetheworld! Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad you found the food delicious. We are so sorry you found it very noisy - yes, we do become very busy. We try to keep things as quiet as possible from our end, but of course, other customers will talk loudly on occasion making it sound... More

Koto is a training restaurant for disadvantaged young people in Saigon. It is a good social enterprise and also a good restaurant. The food was enjoyable in the Vietnamese style rather than the bland tourist food we had elsewhere. The service was maybe a bit slow but many of the staff had been given time off for the Chinese New... More

We specifically sought out this restaurant as we liked the concept, and had previously been to the one in Hanoi. When we got there, we were a little taken aback by the very high prices for a fairly ordinary menu. Sparkling mineral water is 90000 dong - the same water at top Hoi an restaurants was costing 30-40000 dong! As... More

We ate here prior to heading out into the city to celebrate NYE and having read the reviews were really happy that the restaurant lived up to our expectations. The service was great and you could see that the staff were trying really hard to remember their training and get everything right. The food was delicious, we all had something... More

Delicious Vietnamese cuisine, served by eager trainees who are poised and very helpful. This is a superb restaurant with a good social purpose as well. Every dish was perfect, with fresh ingredients and cooked just the proper degree. A fabulous dining experience and absurdly reasonable. One split appetizers, two main courses, two fruit drinks and one glass of wine, all... More

We ate here as part of a group tour. This restuarant was set up to give underprivileged youth an opportunity to train in the catering industry. After doing an apprenticeship here, their earning potential is greatly improved and allows them so much more freedom of choice in their future. The set menu was execellent and the trainee staff were extremely... More
