Saigon has countless restaurants on high floors, but from this one you not only have great views, but also a culinary experience of the highest standard. The truffle mushroom soup was a poem, the fish each exquisite and refined and the service beyond any doubt. We have been to one of the “sister restaurants” in Hoi An twice before and were fully enthusiastic here as well. Prices are slightly higher for the country level, of course, but in all Western countries you would probably pay double for dinner at this level. Accordingly, a fair deal for visitors to the city with high standards of cuisine.

We came here for our last dinner before leaving Vietnam after a 3 week trip. We chose from the a la carte, their spring rolls were the best we’ve had and we were recommended the fillet steaks which were flamboyantly finished off by our table with flames. We have eaten Vietnamese every day of our holiday so far but although a western dish it had a Vietnamese twist. Staff were attentive and friendly. Views spectacular. Highly recommended for a special meal.

Restaurant really excellent. We went with friends and we were not disappointed. We let ourselves be tempted by the menu "Star Chef Set Menu" at 1500k with presentation finds. Everything was very good. The staff is very attentive. A very good evening. We highly recommend this place.

If I were to rate this restaurant solely based on cuisine, it would be a solid 4 stars. My partner and I both got separate set menus and each course was well thought out, creative, and delicious. Some of the courses skewed gimmicky (there was a flambe steak presentation as well as a baked Alaska torching tableside) and that energy could’ve been redirected into the flavor and complexity of the dishes. Our server was very knowledgeable—paying attention to small details—and clearly trained in hospitality. The only downside was that it seemed as though there was an illness that had circulated among several members of the staff resulting in extremely wet coughing fits. The bartender was the most affected, so much so that every few seconds when he would let out a loud, mucousy cough (without covering his mouth), the whole restaurant would go silent and look at him. To see him setting tables, making drinks, and delivering food while coughing into the open air gave us pause on ordering any cocktails from the bar. Bearing in mind that policy may prevent servers from wearing masks, this made for an uneasy experience for everyone; someone should’ve sent this poor man home for the night so he could get some rest. An added emphasis on hygiene and complex flavors would bring this chic space from 3 stars to 5.

My husband and I stayed at the La Siesta hotel during our week stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Nhan the waitress and all the other waiter/waitresses at Cloud Nine restaurant were all very helpful. We didn’t venture out side of Cloud nine restaurant as my husband and I struggled a little with illness and they understood our dietary requirements and were all very helpful when we there. We will miss you all. Till next time.

We had the degustation menu. There were 2 choices: salmon or beef tenderloin, so my husband and I had one of each. Every dish was exceptional in both presentation and flavour. The bonus is that it was so very reasonably priced and we received 10% discount for staying at the hotel! It is definitely one of the best restaurants we’ve been to anywhere in the world!

Visiting cloud 9 was a sensational experience. The service was top notch. Our waiter was a great man who catered to all of our needs. I ordered the striploin pairing it with an Italian merlot. The merlot to start with was fantastic very smooth. We were first served a complimentary appetizer which was a mini bruschetta. From there we received our streaks that was flambé table side using absinthe, probably didn’t add much in terms of flavour but added to the experience. Steak was served with mash and vegetable medley. The vegetables were simple and nice, the mash was fluffy and excellent. The steak itself was a thick piece of meat which I like and cooked spot on medium rare. Not the best steak I’ve had in my life time but definitely the best I have had in south east asia. Paired it with a red wine Jus, which was also lovely, potentially could have been a bit more savoury as the sweetness of the wine was very noticeable. Still excellent.
To finish we were given a thank you cocktail. Which was in a shooter style glass, which was a nice refreshing end

Dinner on Valentine's Day. The decoration was cute and the food was overall ok, still nothing special. But a major miss with a tenterloin steak delivered well done instead of medium rare and the full service team lost control over the event. Food was served while cutlery missing and our empty glasses have been ignored totally, while empty tables were eagerly cleaned. It was obvious that the team somehow had lost the grip and it transported the high level stress to the atmosphere in the room. We saw even many other guests with dissatisfied faces. Then we heard lots of apologies like shortage of staff due to the ongoing tet holidays. Sorry dear Cloud Nine team, but this can never be an excuse on that level and this did not make it any better, rather worse. The live music was also too loud, which made it almost impossible to talk at the table while the violist was playing. Why to go with an amplifier in such a small dining room ? Maybe we chose the wrong evening for our visit and we might give it a second chance on a normal evening.

Called in and we were very hot and bothered. We were given a wet towel to refresh ourselves before ordering cocktails and beer.
After an entertaining chat to staff we enjoyed an extremely tasty salad and chicken dish. Before on other recommended cocktail and wine. Great experience and highly recommended

What an incredible and unexpected experience! While we knew we were in for great cuisine, we did not expect the presentation and showmanship that accompanied our five-course chef's selection meal. Top to bottom first rate presentation, service and quality of food. Many thanks to our server Ahn, along with her peers, who were incredibly attentive and took pride in ensuring we were enjoying our experience. If you're a foodie, this is a must-visit location.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Inside and out side dining and pool on the roof of the hotel.Maitre d suggested I try the braised salmon and the waitress suggested she ask the chef tone down the spice for me. Next visit I’m tempted to try it as is, it was that good. As a solo diner, I was never ignored , indeed they went out of their way to make me welcome. Even gave me a tour of the multiple levels, and dining venues .

This evening me and father had the most amazing and spectacular meal for his 70th birthday. The food was something out of my dreams. We started wih some traditional spring rolls which were absolutely amazing then moved on to the wagyu salad and mushroom soup which my father ate every bite of. After that we enjoy a cocktail or two which were made to perfection. We enjoy our mains he went with the Australian tenderloin where as I went for the lamb chops both were cooked to perfection with each being as tender and juicy while melting in the mouth. Afterwards we enjoyed a creme burlee and a chocolate mouse which we both destroyed. All of this was recommended to us by the most informative and lovely waitress Nhung who was so attentive and phenomenal that we didn't want to leave, she knew everything about the menu and helped when needed. I look forward to coming back here again.

What an amazing place for a special dinner. The hostess, Nhung, was attentive, friendly and gave great explanations of the different food we tried. The chef was an artist! It was more than just making delicious food (which it 100% was), it was making sure it also looked beautiful. The cocktails pleasantly rounded off this fabulous experience.

Booked this restaurant for a birthday celebration and it exceeded all of my expectations. The food was great, especially the salmon tartare which was the best I’ve ever had thus far.
Our server, Thai, was amazing, attentive and provided top-of-class customer service. He went above and beyond for us — an amazing cooking show for our tenderloin, additional birthday cake and cocktail concoction that he made personally for us, and even requested for music to make the restaurant feel even more special for us.
It was the perfect, birthday experience and I’m glad to have chosen Cloud Nine. Thank you Thai and Cloud Nine!
