The bun cha dish at 34 Hang Than is really delicious and worth trying. The grilled meat is delicious and soft, along with soft vermicelli and fresh raw vegetables. The special feature is the properly mixed fish sauce, creating the typical flavor of Hanoi buncha....Price is also very reasonable. This is a great destination to enjoy delicious specialties of the capital.More

A small, but Very Popular Restaurant that serves only the Local Vietnamese Specialty - BUN CHA - which is Barbecued Pork in a Vietnamese Soup served with Local Rice Noodles and plenty of Fresh Greens. Bun Cha is very popular in Hanoi, as it is...an all time food - can be had for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. Since this place specializes in only serving Bun Cha, it is Very Authentic and Superbly Well Made. Everything is Freshly Made and Absolutely Yummy too. Being a Small Place and Very Popular, you may have to wait to get a Table and may also have to share a Table with others at times, but the Bun Cha more than makes up for this. Truly a Must Visit every time you are in Hanoi and in the area.More

Looking for a typical experience of street food in Hanoï, we found this place in our LonelyPlanet and tasted an amazing dish. You won't get anything else but it's so delicious that you should try it.

Came here 6 years ago and have missed it. It’s still the best - tried others here this week including the “Michelin approved “ one. This has the best broth and spring rolls (nem) , also the pork Pattie’s are fantastic.

I hadn’t eaten this much Bun Cha (50,000) as a meal for a while. As I ordered a piece of deep-fried spring roll (10,000), it made me more than full. Even without the roll, it is a rather big portion. Lots of barbecue pork and...meatballs as well as sliced papaya in the broth. Fresh vegetables are plenty on the side and I ate most of them. I shouldn’t have been greedy. I wasn’t hungry for dinner on the day. If you want to drink tea, it costs 5,000. I stayed on Ma May Street. It isn’t too far from there but it is a bit too far if you stay near St.John cathedral. You may want to grab a motorbike or cyclo. This eatery is very local. I found most customers local rather than tourists. The Staff won't speak English very well. You will have to share a table with others. If you can, avoid the busy time.More

We had seen this place recommended in Lonely Planet, so of course you never know if you end up at a place only visited by tourists. But that was not the case here, definitely a favorite amongst locals as well. Even if they spoke almost...no English, it was easy to order as they served only Bun Cha - but wow, the most amazing Bun Cha we had during our stay in Vietnam. So flavorful and delicious. And for almost no money. It's definitely worth a visit.More

Very near from the hotel we stayed. Juicy bbq pork with one of the greatest fish sauces, I will suggest adding more of the hashed garlic. Try not to have their buncha at 12 because it is extremely crowded.

Visited Nay 2019. The food was very good, but unfortunately our experience was ruined by a rude older woman who cleared our table and (we felt) was hurrying us out of the eatery. I have no idea why, given half the tables were vacant, but...her body language and manner was clear. Possibly one of the rudest experiences we have had at an eatery anywhere in the world...and, fortunately, at odds with every other experience we had over our 4 weeks in Vietnam. Perhaps that is why it felt so bad.More

Bun Cha, my beloved Bun cha. For those who do not know it. Imagine having a meal with every mouthful a different delectable taste. The meat is well charcoaled. The veggies are fresh as is the Bun. A very fine noodle. Get used to eating...in a cramped place. That’s just an issue everywhere so fret not. The Nem or spring roll are pretty tasty as well. The broth has a great taste and there always busy, which over here means it’s good food. Enjoy enjoy.More

Make one thing (two really, the nem are delicious also) really well - and the world will find you. The bun cha broth was complex and rich, the meats so well seasoned, with generous heaps of noodles and green herbs. Make sure you get the...nem (spring rolls) also, which are crisp and delicate and the perfect addition to your bowl. One of the rare spots we ate where tourists and local folk eat elbow to elbow. Come early to get a seat inside.More

We came here with a group on the recommendation of a food blogger. The flavors were amazing, and the greens fresh, the beer cold, the spring rolls piping hot. Good enough for a return visit.

My husband and I came here as part of a food tour and it truly blew our minds. The pork is grilled beautifully and the sauce was just right. A very filling and cheap meal, this is the type of place that is frequented by...locals and is worth the walk from the main tourist area. My only regret is that I wasn't able to return for a second bowl before leaving Hanoi.More

This place serves an incredibly delicious bun cha. The meatballs are wrapped in a herb and grilled (something I haven’t encountered at the other bun cha spots), the grilled flavour is strong - it’s a no frills place but if you love Bun Cha, or...Vietnamese food in general, you wouldn’t regret coming here!More
