I dropped by for a quick breakfast just before work. Very busy place, very tasty sticky rice. Especially the Xôi Xéo Gà. Very yummy, service was alright. Everything was really good until the last minute when I tried to pay with credit card and they...More

One of the best meals we ate in Hanoi - highly recommend bbq pork and salted egg. Also entertaining watching the slick production line

A friend recommended Xoi Yen and glad we took her advice. Pulled up our tiny little stool and sat on the side walk. Ordered a few dishes that others around us were having, couple of Saigon beers and had a brilliant meat. $4 CAD. Very...More

I would say this place is really good, for what it is. We had two servings with meat and 2 beers and the total was only $4. We were both full and couldn’t quite finish our bowls. Now it certainly lacks ambiance (plastic stools and...More

Fantastic sticky rice with tender pork. We tried a few different varieties of the sticky rice, but the simplest option seemed to be the best. Very hearty and filling. They do dine in and take out. Large beers for cheap too.

Delicious sticky rice with onion and fat, with some beef on top. Simple, cheap (less than 2$) and quick. Lots of locals at this place and every time we walk by they are busy. Plastic chairs and tables along the street for that unique, authentic...More

Not quite. Without the meat accompaniment, you just get rice and egg. It’s not the point of trying Xoi Yen.
