Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very reasonable prices and fresh food. The beef filet in honey was amazing along with the spicy pork. The service was quick and attentive. Totally worth the hike from Hoan Kiem Lake.

My Hanoi-born friend recommended this place to me as a good representation of home-style cooking. Unfortunately my tdining partner wasn't hungry so I had to restrict my choice. I had tofu with spring onion and pork with salted duck eggs. Both were delicious. They happily...provided me with takeaway boxes for my leftovers. Nice surrounding with very high ceilings. Free wifi too. The waiters speak good English and the menu has pictures of the dishes with English descriptions.More

Nice restaurant. It appeared to cater mainly to locals, but easy to manage menu with english and photos. Prices were reasonable.

We ordered the set which was very good value for money. In the evening there is a buffet which looks fresher and was frequented by the locals.

I love this place since they still keep all the traditional dishes which I can rarely find else where. Service is great and of course its more expensive than other locations for traditional meal, its like a 3-star restaurant.

I eat here about once a week. The food here is exceptional and the staff are very attentive. I've tried just about everything on the menu and I've never had a bad experience. The service is very quick. Definitely receives a stamp of recommendation for...everyone to check it out.More

This restaurant is a step up from the average Hanoi restaurant. It has nicer presentation and better seating than a lot of other places, but the prices are a little more expensive (by a few dollars - not much). Loved the spring rolls and pho...ga.More

Me and my wife visited this restaurant last week at night, when the lighting and the ambience gave it a more appealing touch compared to how I'm sure it would look during the day and were pleased to discover that, for cheap, the quality of...the soup and the fish we had was exquisite and this accompanied by an amicable attitude coming from the waitress, we didn't have to wait over 10 minutes and the food was hot and tasted, and smelled fresh. My wife spent some time after the meal to discover the pottery the owner has at the back, she was entertained. We had a good time. Traditional taste for a few dollars (we had 2 meals for less than $25). Favor this kind of resto over tourism focused ones that collect for the decoration and the name.More

We came here after a long day of walking. We ordered grilled ribs, pho bo and crab spring rolls. They are all lovely. Staff are attentive and the only restaurant we went to in Hanoi that gives you a cold glass for beer, which is...a plus! Regretting not trying the pigeon tho, maybe next time :)More

We ordered five dishes (vegetable, tofu, meat, spring roll and seafood) and they are just enjoyable. Their local style dishes are simple but authentic. No strange tricks and crafts. Hospitable staffs and good value for money.

Sure, pho is great. Yes, bun cha is amazing. But there's a difference between street food and home-cooked food. This restaurant is great at what it does: offering home-style meals for the ones who don't have a Vietnamese mom ready to cook for them. I've...been to this place several times over the last 6 years and it never fails -- the food is always excellent, simple, tasty.More
